LTC is not more safe, there are just more of them and it uses a different mining algorithm.  As the "flagship" of crypto currencies it is expected that Bitcoin will find most problems first and be targeted most often.

All of these currencies are in their infancy.

LTC is almost exactly the same as BTC. All the issues that BTC has had in recent years affect LTC just as much.

The only reason you don't hear much about it is because BTC has many times more users and more public visiblity.

+1

just like the computer virus epidemic of microsoft vs apple in the late 90's

everyone was seeing microsoft getting virus's and apple was showing off how they don't get them. not because their code was better, but because more people used microsoft and virus makers could not be assed to learn how to mess with apple, because hardly anyone used it in comparison.

May be having LTC rather than BTC is more safe ?  Wink

All bad conditions came to BTC, may be we use LTC rather than BTC as crypto money ?

Your ideas ?
