Instead of enlightening statements, this is  what i got...

If you go back about 400 pages you'll find plenty of debate about it.

P.S. I don't know if many people realise the difference between cash and credit.

Credit = the PROMISE of a monetary token
Cash = THE monetary token

That's why DASH is CASH. It's the TOKEN and the money doesn't go any further.

Adam Curtis explains the rise of banking power after WW2, geopolitics, money angles and the complex relationships of the west with Saudi Arabia and how news outlets and the media affect how we think and why they do,

Being unable to deal with the complexity of the world has seen us retreat into what Curtis calls a “static world”. Instead of looking to change the world for the better, we look either to change small things (our bodies, our own rights as an individual), or we fall back into the past. “This obsession with risk that politicians, terror experts and finance people have, it’s about going back into the past, looking for patterns – which computers now allow you to do – and adjusting everything to make sure things are stable.

“I believe that it’s possible to make the world intelligible – however complex and chaotic it is,”  -- Adam Curtis --
The Century Of The Self is a great doc, i'll definitely check out this one too. Thanks for posting.

Check out what Korecoin is up to. I think their dev is beavering away frantically.
Also didn't the big man bring something out last month?? Kimdotcom??

Did he ?? He was quite vocal about it... and the dude seriously delivers. Can't remember the name! Mega something?

'Megachat'

Is it open-source software? I didn't look too hard, but in a few articles that came up, I didn't see anything that mentioned the plugin was open source, or even that eventually the source code will be released (similar to the way Darksend was released - just trying to keep things on topic).

Perhaps you got a list of recommended documentaries somewhere? As I am in dire need of some decent ones. : )
This compliments and overlaps Adam Curtis somewhat, not had chance to listen to the documentary yet, but Greg palast is a cutting edge fearless looking investigator, usually good stuff.

''Bingo! I'd just beaten the Military-Petroleum Complex in a lying contest, so I had a right to be stoked''
''After phoning numbers from California to Kazakhstan to trick my mark, my next calls were to the State Department and Pentagon. Now that I had the specs on the scheme for Iraq's oil – that State and Defense Department swore, in writing, did not exist – I told them I'd appreciate their handing over a copy (no expurgations, please) or there would be a very embarrassing story on BBC Newsnight.''

So the tax man, to begin with, will now be able to go straight into your bank account. Exodus to crypto can now commence in earnest  Wink

+1

I always thought that crypto would grow from a push rather than a pull.

The world is drowning in debt.

To go back to some of my original slogans from my BTCe trollbox days that I had a lot of fun banding around:

FIAT = highly levered debt money. 1 seat for 10 people
CRYPTO = unlevered base money. 10 seats for 10 people

Where's everybody going to run when the music stops ?

Thats the reason why there's so few fiat exchanges for crypto. ironically, most of them are in China where there are capital controls.

Why do they allow it ?

CRYPTO to FIAT = HOT LAVA to CANDLE WAX. (The more debt to GDP ratio your country has, the softer the candle wax Wink )

The big injection that crypto needed:

Quote
New debt recovery powers – set to be introduced in the next parliament – will also see officials able to dip directly into the bank accounts of those they say owe money to the taxman.

I like the top one but would like to see more of a slant like this...

If i had to choose from the "Finalists" list i would say number 1 but less squatty.

Number 6 looks good too but the missing dash in the "A" makes it harder to read.

Here you go. With an additional 12 degrees of slant. They look VERY similar. I don't take credit for the initial design, I just tuned the S to a stronger one and actually reduced the slant while keeping the style which I was impressed with.
