San Antonio Spurs vs Golden State Warriors WCF.
Patty Mills vs Steph Curry; I don't see Kawhi Leonard vs Steph Curry here. We all know that this is really a mismatch just by looking at the stats. But we can't just an assume that this guy will just go on easy. For Mills, he have to give his 100% defense to that Curry's high percentage of rainbow shooting. Curry, even contested or not, can bucket a 3's with his signature shooting stunt. He can easily drop it infront of Mills. Let's see how Mills will react to this while having an advice from Pop.
Danny Green vs Klay Thompson; This is somehow an equal matchup if we reset their stats and only includes team role. They are both deadly at 3's although Klay was most noticeable (we will disregard this factor for the moment). If both these guys become hot, their hands really will do those succesful shot. Although for GSW, with Durant on the floor, Klay's field goals attempts at any area in the court are minimized. Let's see what will be the scenario here.
Kawhi Leonard vs Kevin Durant; Kevin Durant obviously is the most athletic of this two but the idea of their performance is just the same. I don't see Leonard can defend Durant all the time that's why they must cover this hole. On the other hand, GSW must contain Leonard as this is one of the deadliest shooter in NBA today as we seen in his recent performance.
My own thoughts. Few hours from now and Game 1 will begin.
Well the spurs dominated the warriors until mid end of 3rd quarter but damn it gives me a heartache on that leonard injury. It completely changed the pace of the spurs. If only not for pachulia stepping on leonard landing. Warriors would've lost that game and they'd be 8-1 on the playoffs. This clearly is the reason why the spurs is still dominant in the west even though warriors got 4 superstars in their team. For me that is not a win that you can brag. Totally ridiculous.
Let's give game 1 to the warriors, that was really unfortunate of Kawhi, I hope his condition is not serious enough and he could still play in game 2.
People are really expecting that the warriors will dominate here but it was a different outcome, the Spurs is not playing a slow pace games anymore, they were able to match the warriors and they dominated int he inside, i hope Leonard will be back in game 2 so he can help Aldridge steal 1 game on the road.
It's a shocker for me. Warriors came back from 25 to take Game 1 from Spurs, winning 113-111. Also my thoughts on the
Leonard injury. He was really player amazing up until that unfateful injury. I hope that injury is not that serious so that he can play in game 2. Because without him, I think GSW is a sure to go to the NBA finals once again.
The thing is many people and experts and other NBA player said that Kawhi Leonard's injury is intentional. I mean is we can see from the angle that ZaZa extend his feet to Khawi landing place, leading to spurs momentum to shatter and loss in the end. Well its not that its just a game ang injury is common, but dirty plays is anotger story. Khawi is a really humble player and despite that injury he has faith in his teammates that they will win the conference finals. I hope that Kawhi can play in Game 3 and destroy the overrated team ( GS ) in the series.
IMHO. Zaza made an intentional foul play even though he is not facing on kawhi that time, By the slow motion replay, He intentionally extend his leg on the landing area of kawhi foot even though it is not necessary for him to extend just to run and go for the rebound. I think he is aware on what will gonna happened after he extend his legs that's why he quickly run right after kawhi foots land on his foot. Kawhi will be out for two game or more because his injury is serious. Pachulia is the real MVP for that game. LMAO.
That's exactly what I'm trying to say. Well even some people who watched it live really frustrated on what happened there because it was really intentional. Not mentioning Zaza record on other player.
"Ask David West, his current teammate, how things went when Zaza was playing for Dallas, and he and David got into it. And then think about the history [Zaza has] had, and what that means to a team...what happened last night. A totally unnnatural closeout that the league has outlawed, years ago, and pays great attention to. And Kawhi's not there. And you want to know how we feel about it? You want to know if that lessens our chances or not? We're playing very possibly the best team in the league—you know, we don't know what's going to happen in the East. And 9.75 people out of 10 will figure the Warriors will beat the Spurs. You know, we've had a pretty damn good season, we've played fairly well in the Playoffs. I think we're getting better. We were up 23 points in the third quarter, against Golden State, and Kawhi goes down. Like that. And you want to know if our chances are less, and you want to know how we feel? That's how we feel."
