Maybe they are eyeing one of the players at Atletico Madrid who they think has the potential to be brought to the Camp Nou.

But it's a little weird if they ask for a player swap Cheesy

Btw, It's because of messi right?

Yes, one of the reasons is Messi. Selling Griezmann will increase Barcelona's income and on the one hand, will also reduce their wage cap. To be able to register Messi and new players like Memphis Depay and Sergio Aguero, Barcelona will have to raise a lot of funds to meet La Liga's spending limit. But if Antoine Griezmann's swap deal with an Atletico Madrid player really happens, then there will be another Barcelona player for sale.

Griezmann did not fit into Barcelona properly, although the whole season was not very successful for Barcelona, so it is difficult to judge the individual results of each player. It also takes time become part of the team, perhaps if Griezman had more time, he could open up in Barcelona.

Everything takes process and time, so yes I agree with your opinion if Griezmann has a lot of time at Barcelona we will be able to see the real quality of this player.

There are rumors that Diego Simone also wants Griezmann to return to Atletico and it seems that Barcelona is also prepared to let Griezmann go. But the strange thing is that Barcelona is expecting a player swap instead, even though they are messing with reducing expenditure. Wouldn't it be better if they just let Griezmann go for a decent price?

The best for Griezman is joining PSG, or stay in La Liga and return to Atletico Madrid. Will the exchange offer be finished, for Griezman and Joao Felix? I don't think Atletico Madrid will sacrifice Felix to get Griezman.

The Atletico Madrid team is much more stable now. If they get Griezmann in the team with Suarez, then their forward will be strong. The Real Madrid team does not look likely to be too strong next season. If Atletico Madrid are able to increase their strength a bit at the moment, maybe they can win the title next season as well. I think Atletico Madrid will be interested in signing Griezmann.

Barcelona's plan to swap Griezmann for Saul Niguez instead of Joao Felix? Considering the crisis that hit the club's finances to this point, Messi is reportedly staying at Barcelona with a reduced salary or leaving Barcelona on a free transfer. Therefore, it is possible that Barcelona will actually cut a player who is still getting a big salary like Griezmann to be exchanged for another player or maybe let him go.
looks like an agreement between messi and barcelona has been established and reportedly barcelona have managed to convince messi to stay even though his salary is cut by 50%, a source from sky sports said that messi will stay at barcelona for the next 5 years and maybe only play for the club for 2 years and then he will acting as a club ambassador for the remainder of his contract later, currently the strict financial regulations of La Liga make Barcelona have to reduce the salaries of several players whose nominal is quite large such as Messi and Griezmann.

Rumors regarding Griezmann's move have been widely discussed in various sports media. Barcelona has reportedly started offering Griezmann
to several big clubs. These include Manchester City and Chelsea, unfortunately the two Premier League teams are not very interested in Griezmann.
Since Manchester City are focused on pursuing Harry Kane as their main target, and Chelsea still haven't given up on signing Erling Haaland.
Two big barriers for Griezman to join Premier League.

His style can not fit with Premier League. I know there are Spanish players can adapt to Premier League but it does not mean Griezman can do so. He is no longer young to spend 2 seasons to adapt to the league.

Big clubs in Premier League have their main targets to improve their squad quality and they will keep up with their plans. Manchester City has many players who can play well in the favorite position of Griezman. Same for Manchester United and Chelsea.

Quote
The possibility of Griezmann returning to his old team Atlético Madrid, but in order not to be too expensive Atletico Madrid offered Saul Niguez
in exchange for Griezmann. The fact is that Barcelona prefers Joao Felix to be exchanged for Griezmann. We'll see where Griezmann will
eventually move.

Other than the back line, I'm not sure there is much I would want to change at Barcelona even if there were capacity for it and upfront, the addition of Memphis Depay is a great deal imo, the other players I would have the team to make a move for are either off reach or just too expensive so it's still great progress in the transfer zone so far this year, than the multi millions spent of the likes of Greizmann and Coutinho at some point.
I feel so terrible right now, a mean, these guys were doing so well in there formal teams are were the best, actually a challenge to most of the opposing teams as at then until Barcelona came and signed them off in transfer with them hoping they could shine but instead, Barcelona stole there light and there shine.
Right now, nothing of good can be made of or come of these players. I feel for them, really but, its football and the way it is. For Griezmann to be specific, his salary is a lot too high and with the financial crises in Barcelona, I'll understand why his so targeted for a possible transfer but then, all these is been done because, the club can not afford to loose one man.

I wonder what would become of Barca when they actually do because, they will one day.
When it comes to Griezmann, there have been some rumours about him like Manchester City are interested in him closely and they want to sign him this summer. As Barcelona have signed Depay, I think that they may give green light to a transfer like this. And they would make a really profit thanks to him. They need to make their finance much better to be able to take a deep breath.

I assume that Barcelona won't have much transfer budget left after finishing the Messi deal. They couldn't even meet Messi's demands but they are close to sign a contract with him as he is eager to accept the 50% pay cut. Therefore, they won't be able to sign top players for a really big amount of money unless they sell some players. They are in a really bad financial condition now.

Alaba is a really sensible transfer for Real Madrid. Because they have lost Ramos and they are really close to lose Varane to Manchester Utd also. In this case, they were going to need a good defender desperately. Actually they still need a decent defender in case Varane leaves I think. But at least, they won't need to rush things.
Yes it was a needed deal and they still need several players in different positions a central defender and some wing players since the current ones did not perform well this season plus hazard many injuries so they can compete in the different competitions.

Alaba arrival to Madrid will certainly be able to cover the position left by Ramos, especially since Alaba is a player who can play in several positions, namely as a center back, left back, and defensive midfielder. so that Alaba can be placed in various central positions, especially if Varane is gone, of course Alaba will be plotted with Eder Militao in guarding the Real Madrid defense, because so far the position of center back has always been filled by the Ramos-Varane ,
But I agree with you, if  madrid still need a few more defenders if varane is really going to leave.

Alaba versatility would be really the key factor for time at Real Madrid and the fact he already has a great understanding with Ancelloti during his tenure at Bayern Munich too, but I don't the the void left at the club by Ramos can be easily filled, he's a legend!

Messi has a close relationship with Barcelona so he doesn't really care about money in order to stay in Barcelona. Likewise with Barcelona, In order to keep Messi, they have to be prepared for the club's financial problems, even though Messi's salary is cut by 50% Barcelona will still exceed their cap. For that, there must be some players to sell or loaned to another club so their expenditures can be reduced and their players (including Messi) can be registered during the new season.
No matter how things are,I still believe this will be sorted out between the two parties, and Messi will still be a Barca player next season. He has been good to the team undoubtedly, and his good relationship with Barca he cannot dent.Instead,Barca will let other players leave, and retain the unique services of Messi, because they know next season is even going to be tougher considering the rate at which top teams are signing players, and won't let there own best player leave.
Most people believe that, Barcelona wouldn't want to upset the best legacy player they have ever had, don't get me wrong Barcelona had many good players in it is history, few even played with Messi, but nobody can deny that Messi has been the best player that ever played in Barcelona and this dude has been there for over 20 years if you include youth years.

So we are talking about someone that is both the best player ever, and also a long standing relationship at the same time. All of this combined would definitely make anyone believe that we are going to see Messi back in Barcelona, but that is "most probably" it is not guaranteed.

If everything was so great then he would have signed a contract already, he wouldn't have waited for this much and let it go to a situation where he is free agent right now. Which means there could be a small chance he may leave, not a huge chance, but not zero neither.

Well, Real Madrid had to buy new players, especially defenders to fill the hole left by Ramos and Varane who will most likely also leave Real Madrid. As a new coach, Carlo Ancelloti should have had his own shopping list, but until now Ancellotti doesn't seem to have taken that action, maybe he has his reasons, or maybe he wants to give us a surprise  Grin.
Carlo Ancelotti can not do anything if he does not receive transfer budget from Florentino Perez. The hole from Ramos and Varane will not be easily to be fixed and new defenders will need time to familiarize with other defensive players.

Marcelo can be another problem for Real Madrid in a new season. He is getting older and will not be able to play as good as years ago when he met and worked with Carlo the first time.

Alaba is a first one and a good player for them but Carlo will need more. Alaba: Ancelotti's wild card

Luka Modrid signed a new contract and Odegaard might find his position in the squad. He is the hope for future of Real Madrid because Modric won't have too many seasons left in his career.

The only good signing this season from Real Madrid is Alaba. But currently they are losing defenders and need to buy them really soon. The new season is already around the corner and Real Madrid is wasting time. I agree if Perez dosent give Anceloti a good budget he wont be able to do anything. Real Madrid aint looking bright this season at all.

I believe Real Madrid don't have any funds for any transfer because Bale isn’t getting sold, and so far no one wants to buy Hazard. Furthermore let’s assume Varane gets sold even then they’ll be able to buy only one player, hence it’ll be very interesting who that player will be.

We all hope Madrid will bought some new players. But we did not see any news of the purchase of new players from the Madrid management. We have not heard any rumors about it. If Madrid does not buy new players, La Liga will not be as competitive as before. Atletico Madrid is very stable. Barcelona is also trying to increase their strength. But Real Madrid is lagging behind.
Maybe it's true as you say, Real Madrid won't be competitive because they don't have a reliable new squad. Although there are many players whose service can still be used every match, but new players will make them stronger. I am happy because Barcelona managed to buy some players during the transfer window, I hope all the signed players can play as expected which will boost the morale of the team to win the title next season.

Maybe Carlo Ancelloti has some favorite player and he wants to bring them to the team, but Real Madrid is in such a financial crisis now that Real's management is not able to bring in any new players. Real Madrid is not expecting a title next season. But they want to keep the team stable.
