In as much as they're the current champions many football fans have tipped them as the favorite in winning the title base on how the slack and still bounce back to win the title in previous seasons, that's in the past to me because they haven't shown how ready they are to repeat it again and the other teams are not even ready to lose against them (City). I just hope things go as plan for the other teams, I'd tip either Liverpool or Arsenal to win the league this campaign.
Liverpool and Arsenal have learnt their lesson especially the Gunners who almost got the title but slipped off at the last minute which to me is just a disgraceful performance if you ask me. Both teams (Liverpool and Arsenal) are really going to hit City very hard just to slow them in getting close to the title and Pep is getting the signal so he had to improvise since things ain't working for him as before.
Last season, I even hoped that Arsenal would win the title. Because they deserve it if you look at how hard they fought to stay at the top of the standings last season. Unfortunately Arsenal had to lose points at the end of the season due to their declining performance due to injuries to several of their core players. Last season Arsenal didn't have enough players in the second tier to create a solid rotation. It is natural that Arteta had difficulty maintaining Arsenal's performance at the end of last season because the lack of quality players and the large number of injured players are always a nightmare for any team.

And this time Arsenal proved again that they also deserve to be favorites this season. And I hope Arsenal don't slip up this season. especially at the end of the season. Liverpool will probably be the biggest obstacle this season. But I believe Arteta is a talented young coach. And he must be able to keep his club at the top. By having to win today's match against West Ham.

I believe in City's chances of moving up the rankings but I doubt they will be able to become champions this season. City really needs Haaland and KDB to be able to perform at their best. Maybe in the future Haaland will recover from injury and KDB will return to play but that will only be able to improve their ranking in the EPL. The teams that have the potential to become champions this season are Liverpool and Arsenal because they have performed the most consistently this season. I was surprised by Aston Villa's defeat so I wonder whether they will be able to perform consistently in the future or not.
Yeah, Manchester City doesn't have to be a champion in this season because they're not in good form, they only need to be in the top 4, it's already an achievement for them.

Losing many players do give a lot impact, if Arsenal lose Saka and Rice, Liverpool lose Salah and TAA, both Arsenal and Liverpool will be like Manchester City.

Manchester was lucky last night to be frank. They are still unbeaten on boxing day since 1978. Coming from behind to defeat Aston Villa is one of their biggest wins in this season. Hojlund finally had his first game in the premier league and Garnacho had a double. Quite a good record for Manchester United yesterday. Because it has been a long time, they had a good win and this time to came back from nothing and won the match with a well stunning performance in the second half.
Aston Villa is not yet said to be a strong candidate to compete at the top with Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester City because their consistency need to be improved agains, especially when facing weak clubs.
Aston Villa is already a strong Premier League title contender this season, and they have been competing with top clubs in the Premier League. The defeat Aston Villa had against Manchester United, Aston Villa have ended their 7 matches unbeaten run in the Premier League. Aston Villa has won 5 of their last 8 matches in the Premier League. I will just say that Aston Villa was destined to lose to Manchester United.

Chelsea started the match as the youngest starting XI to ever play in the Premier League. Excuses have to be made for their blatant inexperience and imbalance. They might not have played very well but somehow they managed to get all 3 points against their London rivals. I expected them to bury the game in the first have but they were too wasteful. Chelsea created numerous chances throughout, and it looked as if they would pay for their wasteful finishing for a second consecutive match.

I don’t know why they’ve been failing to convert their chances. I feel like it’s a young side and they’re yet to gel. I predicted the game to be a very tough one considering Crystal palace away game against league champions Manchester city where they played out a 2-2 draw. Crystal Palace played well and probably deserved a point, but that late penalty left them empty-handed.

Chelsea is my club but the performance, I would say they're more comparable to any random mediocre club in EPL this season. Mauricio Pochettino is not to be blame if Chelsea players misses crucial chances of scoring. They has everything to make the game 4 nil but wasteful all the chances and the little chances creates by Ayew and Olise, they nets a stunning goal to equalize the game. Chelsea have one of the very stellar performance against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge and they failed to make the supporters even more prouder ans happier. Noni Maduake and Myhailo Mudryk are on the scores board.
The main thing is that Chelsea won, and the rest will come gradually, you can see that Pocchetino is trying to find an approach to the players, makes substitutions, rotates the squad, even gives play to very young players like Gilchrist. In general, as usual Gallagher, Gusto and Petrovic played well and unexpectedly good match played Mudryk and he can be called the hero of the first half. Madueke scored an important goal and in general we can say that Chelsea were lucky, but probably they deserved it with their play and fight, you can see that they are trying, but still lack chemistry. I still think that any place above eighth in the table will be a success for Chelsea.

In my opinion, Manchester City has the potential to continue to climb the rankings and has the potential to become champions this season, yes, in my opinion, in the next match, Manchester City will face Sheff Utd. I think Manchester City will win the match because currently Sheff Utd is at the bottom of the rankings. In my opinion, Manchester City facing Sheff UTD is a good opportunity to add points and now Manchester City must continue to work hard because currently Manchester City is in 4th place.
I believe in City's chances of moving up the rankings but I doubt they will be able to become champions this season. City really needs Haaland and KDB to be able to perform at their best. It shows how weak they have become but Pep still have back up to always get the business done, I love the way the Citizens are switching in players to replace the injured ones but they're still not getting it to be the way it used to be.
Haaland on the other hand doesn't seem to be a problem when he's out but KDB's absence has shown that the Citizens lack that creativity in them.
Arsenal and Liverpool are never going to let this opportunity slip off their fingers in letting Manchester City win the league, and I believe that the second leg against Manchester City won't be easy as the first and Pep knows the danger that lies ahead of his team getting the title.
Manchester City's quite busy match schedule certainly makes them tired, but Pep Guardiola has a lot of ammunition and the rotations carried out on the team are able to produce maximum results.
I have said from the start that Manchester City is a quite strong team and they should be watched out for by all teams in the fight for the title, slumping and getting unsatisfactory results in a few weeks is a normal thing for a football team but how can they getting up is something worth waiting for and Manchester City was able to do that quickly.

Arsenal and Liverpool have experienced an increase in quality this season compared to last season so of course this will make the competition with Manchester City in the race for the title fierce and in my opinion the same is true and will even be fiercer compared to last season.

In as much as they're the current champions many football fans have tipped them as the favorite in winning the title base on how the slack and still bounce back to win the title in previous seasons, that's in the past to me because they haven't shown how ready they are to repeat it again and the other teams are not even ready to lose against them (City). I will advise you not to write off city as the favorite to win the league title this time around. By this time last season they found themself in similar situation they are right now. But you know what happened when it was January. If city lost as many points that they have lost already and are still this close to the two teams that are toping the league just imagine what will happen when the other teams starts losing points and city start winning when Kelvin and Haland comes back by January.

Even though they were playing without Haaland, Manchester City were still able to perform quite well and in today match they managed to beat Everton with score of 1 - 3.
This victory made Manchester City get the full 3 points and slowly they managed to catch up and narrow the gap in the standings.
It was pretty good game and Manchester City really dominated the game from the start of the match.

I got decent odd for the team that is seeded and the favorite.
This is an impressive victory that Manchester City gave us all.

This is a prove that without De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, Manchester city can still dominate which they used Everton to show example to other teams by defeated Everton 1-3 in the home of Everton to embraced three points to make their coach happy again. I know that Manchester city will not just give up like that in this season despite the injuries challenges they are experiencing but their coach has tried some players in the team and they displayed well to prove to people that they are capable to do what De Bruyne and Erling Haaland  can do. If Manchester city can succeed in this match without De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, I believe they will do everything possible in their next match to embrace another victory to continue matching forward.

Very decent goal from Foden while Pickford find the ball very difficult to pick  Cheesy. Manchester City is a team that rarely disappoints. From the beginning of the match i knew they will still take the lead on the score line. Regardless of how fast Everton were lucky to get a goal, they will eventually lose the game to Manchester City. They are no match for the premier league champions. So bad John Stones has been taken off as injured. His absence may leave a mark on the performance of Manchester City for some period. We saw that when Rodri was injured as well.
I knew Man City will definitely win this match and also Alvarez will definitely get a goal though never anticipated the penalty and I'm kinda happy John Stones is injured now City will drop more points except Pep can turn things around like Ancellotti.
In other matches it looks like Chelsea will manage to get 3 points in this match even though the game is very tough in my opinion.
The score is now 2-1 for Chelsea and extra time will soon be finished.
Another win for Chelsea, to the joy of the home crowd who would have expected nothing less than a win since the number one striker Christopher is back although he did not score for us to see the balloon celebration, his presence is reassuring to many of the supporters of this club. Chelsea remains tenth on the table even though they won this game. This 10th place is a position that looks like a big resistance to them and they have not been able to pass and break into the top 10 and even remain there for a long time. Chelsea have a chance in their next game to maintain the win and maybe finally get into a position better than tenth. Chelsea against Luton next.

The victory today from Chelsea is a deserving one after seeing how they played with their opponent throughout the game. They should be ashamed if they hadn’t won any point in this match or drew the match because the stats of the game was very much in favour of them. Christopher Nkunku’s presence did really paid for them in this match. If they can get the striker back to full form, I think they will convert more goals in matches than they use to now currently.
Expected more though thought Chelsea would have scored more than 2 goals but I guess when it was 1-1 at half time I just accepted it would end by 2 goals to 1 which came to light through the penalty converted well by Madueke. I'm a bit disappointed that Nkunku didn't score while Jackson still being Jackson. Latvia played his first match today let's see how better he will perform as the season goes by

Well, for Chelsea, i would say that I am not surprised actually, I mean, this is expected, looking at their performance last season, and their performance this season, it's kind of hard to tell if they are doing better this season, or did better last season, though personally, I feel they actually doing better this season compared to their performance last season.

It is hard to predict when Chelsea will come back to their feet again, for one thing I am very sure of is that, many of us are eager and willing to see chelsea get back on their feet and become that one big and competitive club they used to be, and whether this will happen sooner or later, there is nothing much we can do other than to just sit and watch, not like we have access to the club, maybe we advice them on what and what to do for them to come back strong again.

Away from Chelsea now, Arsenal will be playing west ham tonight, I am looking forward to this, I am hopful that Arsenal will not disappoint, I feel like putting up some bets on this match, but I will wait a bit and decide on this later.

Everton vs Man City was a great game, and Man City won. However, Manchester City had a very disappointing first half performance and Everton were leading by one goal. Going into the second half, Manchester City improved their performance and leveled the game with back-to-back goals. Man City attacked brilliantly until the last minute and secured a 1-3 win over Everton. With the win, Man City gained 37 points in the points table and is currently in fourth position. Man City started the season in a very good position but later their poor performance saw them lose the top spot in the points table. If Manchester City can perform well in the next matches, then they can definitely occupy a good place in the EPL.

The Manchester City match is of course always eagerly awaited and many people always idolize Manchester City and indeed the Manchester City match was very great and exciting because the match was won by Manchester City, but I personally also felt disappointed in the first half. At that time I thought Manchester City would lose. , but in the second half Manchester City finally scored the opening goal through P. Foden and that's when the manchester City players started to get excited and were finally able to beat Everton.

Yes, it's a shame that Manchester City's performance has declined and finally dropped in the rankings, but in my opinion, if we look at the last match against Everton, we can see that Manchester City has the potential to rise. I think if Manchester City can consistently win then it is very likely that Manchester City will be in first place.

In my opinion, the absence of E. Haaland on the pitch and playing will certainly have a big impact on Manchester City and in my opinion the key for Manchester City to perform better is that E. Haaland must play because E. Haaland's game is truly extraordinary.

Currently, many giant clubs are experiencing the same situation as Chelsea and it is not clear why in the end the club unstable condition always shows a game that many people doubt, but at the same time it actually gives a different answer which is able to bring 3 points. Due to inconsistency, clubs, especially Chelsea and Man United, are faced with player problems, the coach is always blamed. It's no longer strange that when fans want to see their favorite team win points at home, they end up losing badly to the visitors.

Pochettino has actually started to understand Chelsea well, little by little he is fixing the gaps even though they are not clearly visible but I am sure that coaches like Pochettino and Ten Hag always bring out their abilities to be able to play optimally. The final result of losing is the risk that must be borne. When Chelsea played Crystal Palace, who would have thought that Mudryk would score a goal because he is usually considered to always perform poorly and many thought that his purchase did not live up to expectations. I still think so, but the process of adjusting players to clubs is always varied and some are short, some are quite long.

Manchester United and Chelsea succeeded in surprising everyone this Midweek with both clubs winning their matches though the most unbelievable was the match between Manchester united and Aston Villa, like despite Manchester United conceding 2 early goals before halftime, they still came back for second half and amazingly equalized and won Aston Villa, so regardless of the inconsistency between Manchester United and Chelsea this season, they still deserve some commendation for being above the top half of the premier league table because with the numerous bad results they've got in most of their previous matches they wouldn't have still been within and above the 10th position in the league table.

This week's performance by Chelsea and Manchester United is impressive. I only hope that the team can maintain this level of play going forward. Usually, the coaches of Chelsea and Manchester United are the ones who sabotage their own teams' efforts by selecting players who can either defeat a team or never lose. A good coach should always know which players to use in order to win, but the coaches of Chelsea and Manchester United tend to select players who don't think things through before acting.

Everton vs Man City was a great game, and Man City won. However, Manchester City had a very disappointing first half performance and Everton were leading by one goal. To be honest, I enjoyed yesterday's match between Manchester City and Everton as well. Both teams take their games very seriously, and Everton's opening goal had me wondering if Manchester City really wanted to lose this one again. However, after looking back, I realised that Manchester City is a team that never gives up. Folden's first goal was absolutely fantastic, and the team scored two more goals to make it three. Manchester City showed Everton that they were returning to the top of the league, and I think Pep Guardiola will do everything in his power to ensure that they do, unless Arsenal and Liverpool also refused to give up.

One similar things about this Chelsea and Manchester United's side is that they aren't consistent at all,if they were consistent, they would not be at where they are respectively, they would have been in the top four by now,but they are mostly punished atimes by their inconsistency, which drops their points most of the times.
Mancity will soon embark on their 10-15 match winning  streak as they normally do,which if Arsenal and Liverpool are not strong enough to keep the competition alive, they would overtake those two teams in the tittle race.Lets hope Arsenal continue to win their games to keep their tittle winning hopes alive,if not,by next transfer window, most of their players will want to leave the team to another team that can give them trophy.

Everton yesterday did played well, they had a very active attacking force which at some point almost affected the rhythm of Manchester citys attack and they even made good efforts to be penetrative at the defense line of Manchester city, I was impressed too at Everton's performance regardless they weren't able to win of course city was bigger.

Manchester city did absolutely well, been able to absorb the pressure Everton was trying to bring at them and later took charge of the match, calmed the whole pressure and won the game by the end of the second half after Everton was leading at the end of the second half, without haland I expected a fewer goal but again Manchester city proved they are not very much dependent on any single player but collectively they play to win, as their team spirit is top notch the victory was very much deserving and the game was such an interesting one.

Chelsea has not settled its attacking problems. I thought that with the recovery of Christopher Nkunku, they would be able to maximize the goal opportunities they always create. It is sad to see a team that plays good football and has all possession, yet always lose games. Maybe we can assume that Nkunku needs more time to recover and fit into the games but the club don't have so much time. They are stuck at 10th position and might end up losing the vision of making it to the top four position.

To be honest, I enjoyed yesterday's match between Manchester City and Everton as well. Manchester City remains a strong contender for the EPL title. They recovered from one goal down after the defensive blunder that gave Everton the lead. The equalizer was an excellent strike from Phil Foden and the team kept putting pressure on Everton until they got two more goals. With 37 points and an outstanding match, the Cityzens still have great potential to give Liverpool and other top a hot chase.

It’s difficult to call Manchester United’s performance good, since they conceded two goals and were losing, and there was a beautiful comeback, but Manchester United conceded twice again. In any case, the match was beautiful, it’s a bit of a shame that Aston Villa could not hold on to the victory, and thus they will most likely allow Arsenal and Liverpool to get ahead, and I also assume, that City will try back to the race, after they have played the missed matches, so they also will be able to bypass Aston Villa.
I believe Mu's victory is partly due to Aston Villa's complacency when they were leading by two goals. It feels like every time Ten Hag is on the brink of being sacked, Mu secures significant victories, giving the coach another chance. It's quite coincidental Smiley . After a poor performance in the previous match, Garnacho made up for it all in this one. I think he's a talented player, but lacking experience, his form is still quite irregular.

Anyway, it was a victory for MU as they had an emotional match for the FAN. I know that this victory cannot erase the current situation of the club when they have a lot of problems from the players, coaching staff,... But basically it also helped Erik ten Hag not to be fired early.
This could be considered a belated Christmas gift that Mu gave to their fans after the disappointing match against West Ham. This victory is like a rain shower after many days of drought, just when the fans were starting to regain faith, they continued to face defeat. Nevertheless, it's still a courageous and well-deserved win for Mu.
