I don’t see why you have to create that. Unless you want to have something different that can’t be achieved here on Bitcointalk. It’s better to have such discussions here because there are so many topics that are here from long time ago and they have questions, answers, opinions, ideas, etc. additionally, the rate at which discussions goes on here, it is almost impossible to have it as interactive as here.

OP, your group members are increasing and that's signs of improvement and acknowledgement for the group. Good news, atleast this group created on discord will served good crypto purposes for everyone to benefits. I totally understands it's very basic to acknowledge the fact that winnings will run smoothly on our path when we're with the right winning team in the space.

Creating an altcoins discord group is not bad since you have explained that it is a community for discussion of Bitcoin and altcoins.
You will also have to create traffic so that there will be more people that are interested in such discussion to join you.
This is never a bad idea and I think it worth it but some persons might think you are trying to drive the attention of people out of this community..maybe you will have to update us more about the community and the success rate.

What is the need to have another group out of this community, whatever altcoin and bitcoin discussion could find here so why trying to push people to your group for a discussion that has never hold here before or what?
Most of this groups always ends of someone sending you unsolicited pm which I don't always like joining such groups, but however any discussion you think is worth discussing if you don't find the topic already created you can make your topic here and people could openly comments and i think through here you might get the best response from the educated and reputable users.

Am in support of this idea, I don't think there's a reason why we have to join the group, there's no discussion you want to have there that haven't be discuss there. Only if it's for there ulterior motive of sending DM that is unsupported.
I think it’s just the features of discord that are not available here in the forum.

Personally I am not a big fan of discord as I find it complicated and very hard to use but I guess if the younger one like to use discord more then let them be. If they enjoy discord more than forum for whatever reason then they are always free to do so. No one is forcing us to join so for those who do not want to join, don’t. For those who want to join, then join.

The only thing this is doing is segregating the community even further. Information being provided or shared in one platform might not be the same as the one being distributed here in the forum and in other platforms. This can make the community separated and not cohesive.

Other people might just grow even more confused with another platform having to join.

I share better plays than the ones posted in these paid "alpha" groups and my group is more community focused.
Good luck with that, most of the people here are aware of not joining these type of groups because even if you say that you're sharing better plays or trade or what you call them, it's just all about the signals that you're making and if it's working for you and your community, that's nice and good to know. But you just can't force people to join these groups whether you guys tell that you are the best group and has made a lot of millionaires because it's not that convincing at all.

So you don't need to invent the wheel again if you just want to talk. You can just google existing groups and join conversation. There are hundreds of generic cryptocurrency talk channels in discord, and some of them have tens of thousands of users. I am in several private ones that are focusing on lowcap gems. And one that is for circle of friends. Some of these public servers are just for talking cryptos, some of them are linking news and signals.
For example Reddit's r/cryptocurrency has a discord server with 50k+ members.

So the question would be, what does your discord channel offers that others don't?

Aren't we discussing altcoin on this board of the forum, then why we would need another? The discussion here is far better and more in-depth than those in other forums. I do not think there is any need to join Discord to discuss altcoins as it won't make any big difference. If you want to you can also start a discussion here on this board about altcoins. Thanks for the invite but most of us would be happy to stay here.

I believe that most members here are engaged in researching potential altcoin investments, trading in the market, or attending to their jobs and families when they're not involved in crypto, etc... What I mean is, the invitation you provided lacks sufficient information about the purpose of your discord group, making it seem like you just want to chat about altcoins or btc. You should have completed your thread to clarify the objective so we could understand better. If it's just for casual conversation, I think only a few would be interested, those seeking conversation partners like yourself.

No ulterior motive nor am I a trader. I just want a place to discuss crypto on discord. You can look in my discord, we're all just discussing various projects LOL.

By creating such groups, you want to make yourself famous or inviting people to this group to have a discussion, I think that maybe you want to convince people to join you. Either you are probably a trader and want to attract them to us so that I can either teach you trading or set the fee.In my opinion, I don't see any other platform where discussion about altcoin or crypto can be done more than bitcointalk forum, so I prefer altcoin talk and bitcointalk. Which suggests us what coin it is, how much it costly so I guess what it's all about is up to you. Anyone can give a telegram group or give a discord in this group. No one can stop it. Everyone has own opinions what they want.

But I am only believing bitcoin talk people which have great knowledge about all altcoins it's better for everyone for discussion about bitcoin and alt coins. You provided us a discord link I don't say it will be bad everyone has own mind where they need to go they will go.
