Seems like a lot of Bit-x users got banned , even Marcotheminer got banned .
mm , I guess I won't get unbanned , or use Bitcointalk for the next couple of weeks , I should live with it .
Here is BadBear's answer  (wanted to share it for people with the same situation as me )

ty for the answer BadBear Wink

you can still use the forum when you are banned, you just can't post or send PMs. You can read what is being discussed.

Anyone of you have a direct contact with BadBear here please ? Skype or ICQ or facebook or whatever , can tell him to check my situation ? thanks .
I understand to have the entire meta board on his watch list. I would not doubt that he has already seen this thread. I would doubt that he will actually respond unless you bring up a good point as to why you think you should be unbanned.

I don't know mate , I will do whatever it takes to get unabanned to be honest , also won't be doing what I did since I know it's wrong now.
Also , I asked another question which I said I have a brother (Marcotheminer who have the Bit-x sig compaign knows about it since a month ago) , My brother  was supposed to start enrolling with the new rules of Bit-x which starts this week , but now he is not posting because of me (we use same PC ) , was wondering if when he posts it will be considered as Ban evasion and he gets banned too ? or not .
the issue with your brother will probably need to be addressed by badbear (I am assuming that your brother lives with you, if this is not the case then he can most likely post away). Unless you can provide some valid reason why you think you should be unbanned then I would put the chances of getting your ban lifted are slim to none. I don't think I have seen any bans get lifted just because someone asked nicely.

Yea he lives me , actually all the whole family . I'am still on High school  Undecided
Anyway I guess I will just for BadBear and see how things goes . Thanks Quickseller Wink

I have question to the guys that have been banned, did you have any kind of warning? I mean did you get more than 1 post deleted before the ban or was it just out of the blue ban? Thanks just trying to understand this because i believe there should at least be some kind of warning before banning or how else do you know your posting badly in the eyes of the mods.
I think the temporary ban is the warning. I would say if the insubstantial posts were to continue then he could eventually get a perm ban (likely after getting more, but more severe warnings)

Nah not really ,
I posted the morning , went to revise my lessons , watch some TV , came back found the account banned and no messages that posts got deleted .

Nah not really?

Did you ever have messages deleted by the mods?

EDIT: I am talking weeks in advance from the ban.
The reason why posts are deleted is because they are off topic (this is going to be the primary reason behind deleted posts related to a instubstantial signature spam ban) however the problem is not that he was making a lot of off topic posts but that the posts has little/no quality content.

Thank you for your information on this topic Quickseller, i do like to be informed as much as possible and then hopefully i can keep my posts within the range of above acceptable and avoid any possible bans. 14days for first time ban that is a warning and a half lol

You don't need to trust whoever that is going to have a deal with you because we have some reputable escrow on this forum, as for the gift cards thing, im not really familiar with either starbucks or amazon gift cards.

How can I be sure that the person who is the escrow hasn't sold his account? The person will say that I need money and so I sold my account and his gain will lead to so many people losing their hard earned money.

That's what I'm trying to say that one wrong act of selling/buying accounts leads to so many wrongs here.

You can ask a signed message from a "public" bitcoin address or if you want another  check also the pgp signed message.

Scams aren't moderated here and there is sometimes a legal grey area on certain things though we do usually remove stuff that are universally illegal (though you must remember sometimes something is legal in other places and not in others and sometimes something is not actually illegal just frowned upon and for othertimes it is hard to definitively tell (Starbucks cards may be obtained illegally but they also may not and we usually don't have proof either way). Also, what Hero member account are you talking about? It is quite rare that an account is bought to scam or at least that they're successful in it, but people should still use escrow and not just trust a random account because it has a little bit of trust.

I am talking about this hero account: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/krishatnet-143543

The user told me that he sold his account and the buyer turned out to be a scammer. Check this thread: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/scammed-by-a-hero-member-krishatnet-936429

Buying or selling accounts anywhere in the world is still termed as fraud. Amazon accounts are being sold here which is illegal in the eyes of Amazon and selling any account is illegal everywhere else people will start misusing the website by owning multiple accounts.

Is having more than one account on Bitcointalk forum allowed? If not then how can one bitcointalk member buy another account.

Sorry but what's wrong is wrong. What's illegal in one place is considered illegal. It's money laundering to buy and sell fraudulent cards and I can in no way support that. It's a crime.

selling or buying an account is allowed here, although i might agree with you that some people aim a green trust account for some purposes, it could be for a good purposes or it could be for a scam attempt, and as for the fraudulent goods, i think there is no way to identify that it is obtained via a fraudulent wa

That's the major reason I don't trust any member out here even if they say they have 1000+ trust. This is illegal as one can create a new account here without any need to buy a "ready made" account. That's not a tough job to create a new account buy "buying or selling accounts" is definitely illegal without any second thoughts.

There is definitely a way to find if a gift card is fraudulent as people say that a "card" will expire in few days especially Starbucks cards. The cards have no expiry date and saying that they will expire proves that the card is bought using illegal methods.

Usually the ban is the first warning. I sometimes PM users giving a friendly warning but can't do it for everyone as it's very time consuming and sometimes they don't listen anyway. Though it may seem harsh I think the best course it to learn from it and put more effort into making relevant posts on their return.

I am first time going to praise the MODs for this action as I used to always feel that the forum is not being moderated due to the amount of spam/scam taking place here.

It's a request to even check the Digital Goods section where people are openly selling fraudulent goods, Amazon accounts and even their bitcointalk account. It's illegal and such topics shouldn't be created. I have recently witnessed a case wherein a Hero Member with positive trust sold his account and the buyer was a fraud who went to scam another person who sold him a product just because of his stats.

There is a simple thing to do "post as if you aren't wearing any signature ad and you will be safe". I think this is a simple thing to understand & apply, or maybe I am wrong.
If you posted as if you weren't wearing a signature and you posted a short one liner it would be looked upon as spam unfortunately, but if you don't, it wouldn't be thought as so. I'd usually just pm the op if I'm going to be posting something short. So it's not upon as spam and the point still gets Across

It is not an account that is banned, it is the person who is banned. So regardless of the IP address or the computer that is used, if a person's account is banned then that person cannot post from any of their accounts (the exception being to post in meta in order to appeal)

They are allowed but not if you've been banned from one of the others as it will be ban evasion.

Posting using multiple accounts is allowed , same thing for selling accounts .
But if you gets banned , using any of the other accounts you have is considered as "Ban evasion" and may get all your other accounts banned. simple as that I guess  Undecided

Oh ok fine, thanks a lot for all of your replies as it made me clear regarding everything now...
@Quickseller,
You know what, I was thinking from a long time to create new accounts and sell them, seeing you and ACCTSeller doing it openly...
Haven't created any yet as still thinking and I also don't have much time to manage 'em... Wink

Your girlfriend? Really? It's always a 'friend' or 'roommate'. I'd make sure your 'girlfriend' isn't using the same computer and IP address of that will likely be found as ban evasion. Isn't the lontong account yours as well? Edit saw it is linked in the link above.

This is something new that I saw. Is it like people using two accounts simultaneously from same computer and IP address will be banned?
I thought that simultaneous accounts are allowed to be used on a single PC with a single IP address only, as I have seen many people selling accounts, so how they are doing it if the accounts are to be banned by Mods?

Hmm yes, I have supposed a "normal" user that want to contribute to the forum activity. However also you is a good guideline, but I prefer to post as if I'm not wearing any signature. I will post only if I want to contribute to the discussion, if I have any "information" or opinion I will not post (this is normal).

Yes, exactly. That's what I wanted to say, clarify.
People make posts but they don't think whether their opinion/answer through that post is actually needed there or not... Everyone should take a lesson from this and should make their posts carefully.

Well, I don't think it's true.
Wearing a signature ad is what everyone is getting as a benefit for their account and posting. If that won't be allowed and there's a cap (which ain't as said by the Mod), then the signature space will be of no use and so, most people won't cross their limits posting too much.

But, all that matters according to me is the "post quality, not just that, but it should be to the extent of your account level"... That's what came to my mind.

Hmm yes, I have supposed a "normal" user that want to contribute to the forum activity. However also you is a good guideline, but I prefer to post as if I'm not wearing any signature. I will post only if I want to contribute to the discussion, if I haven't any "information" or opinion I will not post (this is normal).

Also , I've seen some people getting banned and needs to pay a fee for posting or something ?
I'am more then ready to pay the fees if there is any to get unbanned , I'd really appreciate it . ty

That's not possible. That's just for people who sign up on a banned connection who have to pay to 'unlock' their account.

mm , not cool  Cry
I guess I will just wait for BadBear's or Theymos answer . thanks for your reply Hilarious .

There is a simple thing to do "post as if you aren't wearing any signature ad and you will be safe". I think this is a simple thing to understand & apply, or maybe I am wrong.

As it is said above by mod that

Everything is subjective, sometimes 100 meh quality posts spammed in a 1 day time frame catches a moderator/admin's attention more than 10 poor quality posts. There aren't post limits, however it goes without saying that at a certain point its hard to maintain post quality.............
[-snip]
........

As I said, there are no rules on post count, you can post every 10 seconds if you wish

Ohk fine... I think I missed it, but thanks anyways for letting me know...
And that's absolutely great if there are no limits and the only thing needs to be maintained is the post quality.

I dint know that posting a lot in a short time leads to a ban and why does nobody get to know if the user is banned or not? Is there any limit to the number of posts one can make in a day?

I don't think there maybe any limits, but maybe making posts in places that ain't needed there by them can be the reason for ban...

Watching for theymos and Badbear to at least say something on this...

Oh well...
Thanks for clarification ...

Can I use this account to manage my sales (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/wts-izanagis-couple-ring-965635)
for temporary ?

Sorry, the only place you can post without being banned for ban evasion is in meta. If you would like to make a post in the thread letting people know that your account is temporarily banned, so the sale is postponed, I'll give you the OK on that, but when exceptions are made to the rule, everyone wants those exceptions, and the line gets moved further and further.

@SaltySpitoon , Basically impossible to give me a second chance please ? Sad or should I wait for theymos or Badbear's answer ?

If not , My brother have a couple of accounts (Marcotheminer who is the one who is doing the Bit-x compaign is aware of this) , and we use the same PC , if my brother use one of the accounts , it will be considered as Ban evasion also or it's fine to use them ? (same PC , IP etc .. as I said)

ty

You are welcome to wait for Badbear / Theymos' opinion, they are the only ones who could possibly unban you or reduce the ban time anyway, not that I expect they will, but I was just giving an answer to a couple questions in the thread. About your brother, I'd like to say they wont be banned for ban evasion, but that is really a tricky one. Assuming I believe its your brother and not an alt of yours ( I really don't know because I haven't looked into it) they wouldn't be banned for ban evasion. The reason its tricky, is proving its your brother, and not you. I'd definitely wait for Badbear/Theymos to weigh in on that one. The most I could do to try and clear you is analyze your speech patterns and try to find differences proving to at least some extent that you aren't the same person.

Everything is subjective, sometimes 100 meh quality posts spammed in a 1 day time frame catches a moderator/admin's attention more than 10 poor quality posts. There aren't post limits, however it goes without saying that at a certain point its hard to maintain post quality. People aren't banned on a whim, time is spent investigating especially in these situations where it isn't copy and paste/quote/smiley face/ +1 spam. Sometimes people spam meh - ok quality posts, but when you read the threads they are posting in, their posts aren't completely related or they are just reiterating prior posts to get the post count up or they are posting in threads that have already drawn a conclusion, and they are just reiterating points. People that post very frequently especially those with paid advertising signatures catch more attention sometimes than small spammers. Trust has no impact on bans or ban duration, while admittedly account age/status does minimally if I'm being honest. No one has a free ticket to spam, but a newbie with 5 of 10 of their post count being low quality are more likely to get a severe ban, than a member who has been active and posting high quality posts for a while, and slips up and spams a bit.

As I said, there are no rules on post count, you can post every 10 seconds if you wish, but the chances of your posts being quality decrease when you impose quotas.

Even I got banned a month back though I didn't make any spam posts. The difference is that I just got banned for 7 days.
Mods must not ban like this or they must put up a max. post limit a day or a week

Are spam means post in short intervals of time although he or she made a good post.?

Im also often see accounts with green feedback post in short time frame, and he can keep online and not getting ban.

Need some explanation here

What is your account?

Hi,
So my account Madness Got banned for 14 days for " unsubstantial posts / sig "
I really don't see what I did wrong , it would be awesome if administrators could take it off and give me a second chance please i'd really appreciate it . It's maybe because I posted a lot of a thread of mine ? I've been on the Top posters (350 posts first month , 900 second month) and never had any issues.
would be awesome if BadBear or Theymos post here .

Thanks
This doesn't surprise me. Your account is the source of a lot of spam. The fact that you have posted a lot means that you need to be making more substantial posts, which is very difficult. Your posts were not substantial.

I was actually just speaking with a member of the forum today via Skype on an unrelated subject and your name came up....we agreed that you are annoying and spam a lot

Well, your posts seem to be constructive, maybe you posted too much in a short time. Anyway let's see how moderator responses to this first.
You added you sig to every posts you made, that might draw moderator's attention.
