Howdy and welcome to the official MagicalCoffee stream guide thread!
Here you'll find descriptions, explainantions, tips & tricks in understanding and utilizing the various panels and widgets found on:
https://www.magical.coffeeOverviewThis is what the stream widgets currently look like:
Here's a link to it's screenshot until I can embed the imageWidget/Panel DescriptionsOpen PositionsThis widget shows a list of
open trades I'm currently doing on behalf of the MagicalCoffee account.
The BTC value shown is how much profit has been gained/lost so far (green for gains, red for losses), measured in Bitcoin.
The "pairing" (like BTC-TRX) are the two coins being traded, Bitcoin and Tron in that example, and the exchange they're traded at (like Bittrex).
The "short" or "long" text is whether the goal of the trade is to profit from the price going up (long) or from the price going down (short).
Lastly the % value is the measure of the profit gained/lost on the trade so far.
Completed PositionsThis widget shows a list of
completed trades I'm finished with.
The fields are mostly the same as the Open Positions widget, with a few minor differences.
The BTC value (green or red) is the total profit made/lost from the trade and doesn't change, now that the trade is complete.
Instead of a % profit the date of when the position was closed out is listed, like "2 hours ago".
Fastest Rising CoinsThis section shows a list of coins we've found to have the highest velocity of upward price movement.
We show a list of the top 5-10 coins by descending speed score, and a chart to see the top ranking coin for this category.
Fast upward momentum can usually indicate some type of event or technical trigger where folks could be "fomoing" in.
Fastest Decreasing CoinsThis section shows the opposite of "Fastest Rising Coins" by instead showing the fastest decreasing.
We show a list of the top 5-10 coins by ascending speed score, and a chart to see the top ranking coin for this category.
Fast downward momentum can usually indicate some type of event or technical trigger where folks could be "fuding" out.
Most Overbought CoinsThis section shows a list of coins we've found to have the most stretched upward price movement, beyond a normal "average" they'd typically be at.
We show a list of the top 5-10 coins by descending trend score, and a chart to see the top ranking coin for this category.
"Overbought" status usually means a downard reversal is overdue at some point, or something very significant happened that's causing a long-term raise in value (like good news).
Most Oversold CoinsThis section shows the opposite of "Most Overbought Coins" by instead showing the most oversold.
We show a list of the top 5-10 coins by ascending trend score, and a chart to see the top ranking coin for this category.
"Oversold" status usually means an upward reversal is overdue at some point, or something very significant happened that's causing a long-term decrease in value (like bad news).
Coin360This widget borrows the red/green rectangle visibility of coins in the crypto world from the coin360 project.
Coins ranked by their marketcap are shown as rectangles sized by that market cap % relative to others, and show green when their 24hr price has a positive increase and red when it's a decrease.
This is useful to get a gauge on the market as a whole, whether it's in a general "oversold / fearful" state or a green "overbought / greedy" state.
BTC-USD (Bitmex)This widget shows the live orderbooks (buy side on the left, sell side on the right) for a popular margin-trading exchange called Bitmex.
The large middle number is the current price of Bitcoin and either side of the table shows information on the current buys & sells listed there in real-time.
This is useful to get a feel for the movement of Bitcoin, which tends to affect altcoins (in good and bad ways).
