imsaguy connected to my machine, And when i went to show him the error, It just Didnt happen... I suppose i say Thanks? For looking at my system and making it smarten up.

He apparently has godlike powers

It don't make sense. So you, yourself did something that fixed it before he even connected to you.

Lol, I deleted that goodjob post then. But still congrats to you. So, one of the tutorials worked for you.
True that. I think it became solved around the time that i went to safe, Gutted it, Went back to safe, Gutted it, Went to normal, Gutted it, Went back to normal, TV'd to imsaguy.
Tongue

And guys, quit bickering at eachother over "it's only slowing down because your not keeping it up to speed" "Thats the thing, You have you to keep it ip to speed and i believe some of those speed related things are irreversable"

Thankyou for all you help. Im now locking the thread.

Bullshit.  W7 doesn't require a reinstall just because its been installed for 2 years.  It only needs a reinstall because of stupid users not knowing how to take care of things.

BTW +1

Been using it a long time on regularly hammered computer across five continents. Even XP was good if you knew what you were doing, but I find W7 is nicer.  Reinstall is for people who don't know what they are doing.

Don't send me a pm unless you gpg encrypt it.
The machine I'm on now is a W7 machine that's running fine.  I've updated, rolled back, changed drivers. I've added many programs over the life of it, updated many, uninstalled when needed.  If you're installing/uninstalling programs as a daily occurrence, I have to wonder WTF you are doing.
I'll bet my hat that there is at least one annoyance or slowdown on your current machine that was not there within the first several months of installation, that you cannot for the life of you get rid of now.

And yes, installing and uninstalling programs is a daily occurrence. Why is that unusual? When I am done with something, I don't like it laying around cluttering things up, so I remove it.

If there's something that's slowing down my machine, I fix it.  That doesn't mean I wipe the whole damn thing and start fresh.
I bow to your impressive ability to fix any last annoyance that a machine can possibly contain, without exception. My time is valuable, and sometimes it is faster to start over than to research and fix obscure problems.
Of course, I would be starting from a custom backup base with most fundamental programs already installed and activated.

Tts just a difference in approaches.  While I agree that backups are important, I simply keep the data handy.  Where you spend time making sure your backups are up to date with your latest software, I spend it making sure stuff doesn't break or fixing the stuff that is broken.

I just don't like blanket statements that a person must do XYZ just because person A does it that way.

Bullshit. It does. There is no such thing as full uninstallation of an application, and garbage collection leaves practically permanent marks. If you do not reinstall your OS regularly, it will slow down, and eventually may even fail.

Bring arguments next time.

I did bring an argument, see above. Its bolded so you can find it easier.

As long as you know what you are doing, there is really very little that will screw up Win7 to the point where you have to reinstall it from scratch.

Exactly what do you mean by
garbage collection

and just for the record.. What's my day job you ask?  Managing networks with hundreds of Windows machines.

Agreed, If properly maintained a install can last unlimited years.
Sometimes Microsoft can throw you a shitty update that corrupts the system which has been known to happen, even then people should have system restore active and/or regularly do image backups resolving from format/reinstall.

Thankyou SO much for staying to help me out!
As it stands right now, the CCC (or catalyst engine control center wtfever they changed it to) Tells me that no display devices are installed, or that my hardware is not functioning correctly,
I am currently mining at 20mh/s slower than since before this problem arose.
MSIa can control my cards.. I can mine.. Games SEEM to work, I almost dont want to touch it for fear of losing this half crippled running system..

I can finally breathe and relax now, Now knowing that my house wont go cold, Now that i dont need to turn the furnace on, And how i can play a game or listen to some nice music...

*deepbreaths* It really does take a catastrophy to wake someone up from thier own little world... Geeze.

Im going to follow your steps in the morning, When im not deprived of sleep.
Thankyou So, SO very much for stay and helpling me.

And Terrytibs, If you end up reading this, I dont like you, but i cant not Thankyou for putting it into perspective how Much of a jerk i was being. That being said, please dont stalk me.

Jack.

Use a few utilities I recommend. In order.

One.
Windows Installer CleanUp Utility, if uninstall don't work, use it, to remove any stuff in add/remove programs.
http://www.majorgeeks.com/Windows_Installer_CleanUp_Utility_d4459.html

Two.
Driversweeper in safe mode.
http://phyxion.net/Downloads/

Option (A) Highly recommend.
Pay and get Registry Clean Expert, clean the registry in safe mode. It will gut the shit out. The last check box, File and path references make sure it's checked. Also after checking the registry, click on File and path references view more details and tick every box that shows. Click clean.
http://www.registry-clean.net/

Three.
Ccleaner.
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner

Four.
After all cleansed and and should be with the above following, to double check, search the hdd for any left over stuff which there shouldn't be but we never know.

Usually, when I mined, and before mining I use to run into a lot of errors like this and the above did very well to fix stuff.

I wrote this as quick as possible for you as I see you look like in a hrry to fix it.

If anything else comes to mind I will post immediately .

Don't format. There is always a way to fix things.

This may or may not help but see here http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=361532 last post. Additionally I had some issues once before can't seem to locate the source now but I had to uninstall ALL of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages in program manager, then install new drivers, then do a windows update. I always use Atiman to do a driver swap.

Then will need to delete all the non-amd-chipset dlls associated with catalyst if running a mainboard with an amd chipset. After that then run CCleaner. When scanning the register with CCleaner make sure to run it more than once to make sure all registry entries it detects are all deleted. Then run System Ninja to get the remaining folders and files hiding under the recycle bin. If you're comfortable with working with redgedit, perform a search for ati and amd to find all the remaining registry entries left behind. Make sure you backup the registry on a flash drive before though. It is a lengthy process but will allow you to install Catalyst without issue. Here is a list of not so obvious dlls that are missed by both atiman and driver sweeper that is supplied by catalyst under system32 and sysWow64 folders: amdocl64, amdpcom64, OpenCL (both folders), OpenVideo64, OVDecode64, amdocl, amdpcom32, OpenVideo, and OVDecode.

Terry, For fuck sakes i hate you So much. why do you plauge me on any post i place? leave me alone!
PLEASE Terrytibs!!
I shunned D&T and rjk, because they both are just telling me to format, Thats not solving the problem, Thats getting around it.
The two of them are glorious individuals whom i have no disliking to, but i am snapping on everyone because my main machine just got shot into the crapper after i followed somones instructions.

fwiw i have a panic and anxiety disorder, Aswell as depression, So i was FUCKING FREAKING out because my only damn source of entertainment just went to shit and I've lost all ability to run any videogame.

Yeah Im being a dick, I see that, Ya kind of forget about other peoples emotions when yours are blown apart...

Depressed->
wanted to play bf3, but was crashing so i went to install new drivers->
at the same time i installed a the lastet cgminer to try it out, Forgetting out the whole SDK/.Bin=Speed factors->
Lost 60mh/s and remembered about the sdk/.bin compile that happens with fresh copies of cgminer->
get depressed more, knowing that i have to uninstall the horrifying sdk 2.6, So i followed deepdeleron's mini guide on how to do it properly->
Upon doing so, I could no longer install any display drivers play any games, I lose money by the second, So i panic->
I freak out looking for fixes for hours and i keep getting AMD error's and windows error's->
Panic, Harder.. Start crying while looking for fixes->
Give up and come to ask for help, with what appears to be a simple .INF file missing->
Get told that "i think your on win 8, So i will do my best by handing you a win8 guide", Aswell as two people saying "Why not format?" and "Format your dirty installation of windows to fix that" Aswell as seeing you in my thread causes me to go "oh great.... Fucking Terry is here to scrutinise my every word"

So i flipped the fuck out.
I am Sorry.

I advise any new readers not to help, seeing as he is extremely hostile to the most helpful of members.

Both D&T as well as rjk would actually profit from not helping you, and yet you treat them like assholes. The difficulty drop from your now-disabled mining rigs will serve as a nice bump in profits to community members who are actually nice to each other.

Install the OS
Install SDK (2.4)
Install the drive (custom, uncheck SDK).

Even windows update just yells an Error at me when i try to install drivers, And when i goto try installing drivers via device manager i just get this!

http://imageshack.us/f/443/gggggsya.png/

"cannot find the file specified". hrm.

A cut and paste:
Run the ATI catalyst installer, choose install, and press cancel after it has extracted the driver files to your hard drive. Then in Windows device manager, select "update driver" on your ATI video card, and browse to the extracted driver location, such as C:\AMD\Support\12-4_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc\Packages\Drivers\Display\W7_INF.

You might also run SFC to check that all windows system files are uncorrupted:
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/toolsofthetrade/ht/sfc-scannow.htm

Doing those steps gives me that "canot find" error! I've even aimed the device manager at the cd that the card came with!!

I suspect the problem is Windows 8 beta from the screenshot. I asked previously in communications what OS was being used but it wasn't specified. This is where all bets become off.

Here is a link to someone else with the same problem. They had to look at the event viewer, see what the files were "missing" from the installer log, discovered that Windows 8 was looking in the wrong place because it doesn't parse the driver inf correctly, and copy the driver files to the directory that windows 8 was looking at:
