Coins will continue to be mined for another ~100 years, so no issue there. Mining coins profitably is another thing

All BTC subsidies will be complete by 2140, however the last 40 years will be fractional coins, so who's to say it'll be worth it by then. I think the bigger question is ... Will SHA-256 even be a thought at that time? I seriously doubt it'll be around for another 20 years. Current ASICs IMO won't be useful for too much longer.

Magixx has the BFL miner for $15,000 on ebay.  He must really want to get rid of it quick, as he has had it for less then 24 hours.

This brings up my basic problem with bitcoin mining, and ASIC miners in general.  How many more years can coins be mined?  Are we talking 5 years?

With a 60 gh/s miner at current difficulty and price you can make up the $15k in a little over 4 months.

Most people are selling their BFLs because they realize it better to just get the bits upfront.
