An unpleasant story happened with Maiar DEX, whose work was forcibly stopped after the hacker managed to withdraw 1.65 million EGLD in the amount of ~ $113 million using the contract he deployed. https://twitter.com/Foudres_/status/1533702074151616514
CEO and co-founder of the Elrond network Beniamin Mincu says on Twitter about the investigation of a number of suspicious actions on Maiar DEX. https://twitter.com/beniaminmincu/status/1533598583001337863
And just like that, it's an end to another one of the many "decentralized" exchanges running on smart contracts of networks supposedly meant to be the next Ethereum killers. The bear market is now on, we won't hear most of such projects in the next bull market with newer and "better" projects with "smarter" contracts than Ethereum getting launched, and the whole cycle repeats once again.

Hope it doesn't turn into another NEO or EOS. I remember NEO was so promising and was dubbed the Ethereum killer or the Chinese Ethereum. They even had a few nice projects and exchanges launched on their blockchain, and then the bear market happened. Things have never been the same again for NEO adoption.
Actually right. But I can see that elrond is a pretty much contender project. That's why their maiar dex was a hit. Damn their ido got 600x in return for that holoride, for a start up or first project that was a pretty good start. I missed it cause I'm not an egld holder and don't have mex but I don't want to jump on the wagon now that they are hype.

I heard of it and they even got an ido or some sort of ieo, with the holoride. I've been seeing a lot of elron progress, too bad I dumped my original token before the ratio snapshot on Binance. Anyway, I'm sure there will be chances like this again in the future. But for now, I am more interested on some chain like with a wide ecosystem already such as avax, fantom, and even polygon.

Guys,
What are your thoughts about Maiar decentralized exchanges? It is the first project launched on the Elrond blockchain that is already running and has a market cap of 2Bil.
The only currencies available at the moment are MEX, EGLD and now so long the bridge for USDC was deployed.
I think that there is a good chance for the Maiar to be used at a large scale because of Elrond chain speed and fees.

This is the first time I heard this exchange actually, the price was too high for the starting exchange. Sorry, I think in my own assessment I saw there are a lot of exchange arises here in the cryptocurrency where in the end it didn't stand for long in the end. But some of the exchange who started from the small price value till now they are still exist in the market I don't know about this MIAR.

Never heard of that.

It's good that elrond is also starting to have its network and having projects choose it to operate under their network. The more cryptos that they support, the better.

It will be the reason for a dex to have more users.
