We will all be dead and MAID will be getting their vaporware as "close to flawless as possible"...
Others may actually deliver and are much cheaper:

Someone in this stream of messages is implying they are purposely delaying the release of the software. Do you really think that or are you a FUD'ster? The Maidsafe team is working on a releasing a network that is as close to flawless as possible.  If people can't see that they aren't paying close enough attention or just attempting to create FUD because it's going to harm another project they are heavily invested in.

Also, Maidsafe did release software a couple of months ago, but because someone is threatened by the project someone created a script maliciously filled the test network full of junk data. The reason someone could fill the network full of junk wasn't an error with the network, but because it was a test network without all the intended features implemented.

Yes, it delayed the launch of the network, but it was actually a blessing in disguise because not only did they fix the issue that allowed someone to maliciously fill the network full of data, but also resolved some other minor issues. Filling the network full of data also allowed the team to see how the network functioned if something like this occurred and it worked flawlessly.

A new release has actually been put out and you can read about it here - https://safenetforum.org/t/maidsafe-dev-update-july-13-2017-test-17/14769 People now have a live network to build sites and apps on to showcase what it can do. Someone just today posted a site that's basically a Soundcloud replacement(Soundcloud is also closing doing soon, great timing I'd say).

The project is extremely open and if you have any questions the developers will answer any questions you post on the forum. Good luck and don't miss this one!

No hater here, just waiting for them to deliver. Too many vaporware sellers out there. Im ok with waiting for a solid product, great things take time to deliver, I get that.

Soundcloud closing has been a rumor that has been around for ages and they are still out there. A decentralized soundcloud would be cool, but it got to be free like soundcloud, otherwise no one is going to use it. Also im not sure how easy it's going to be to get the average joe on such an app.

A cool project, not so cool deliver. They are delaying the software forever, investors are losing patience, the price is stagnating. They have to prove everyone wrong and come up with what they are supposed to come up with and deliver a strong package or else people are going to start dumping their bags for something else.

MaidSafe looks promising and I think decentralised network that has the capacity to hold files anonymously IS the future. I personally believe in IPFS more, their product (maybe not with as many features as MaidSafe) is live, working and actually used by some projects right now (Turkish Wikipedia example is amazing!). A lot of new projects is also announcing they are/will use IPFS as a foundation layer for files or logs.

Personally I think it's a fairly low risk investment right now.

Considering where the price is today, there's not much downside risk and plenty of upside potential if the team can start making progress on their roadmap.

I get the impression that there are a lot of people watching this coin so now might be a good time to invest.

this now is good investment
because majority all people sell, and maidsafe coin down price, bitcoin downprice
so only wait can double profit, incraese maidsafe and incraese bitcoin price, but all investment is high risk and high return

I invested in Maid a few months ago after reading an article on the difference the coin brings to the crypto world. I think it's still a good time to buy a few and hold for as long as you can. Might be worth it in the long run.

I was really interested in Maid about a year ago and expected it to really blow up. While it definitely increased in price along with the other coins, it hasn't gained the transaction I had hoped in terms of exposure and adoption. But the technology is interesting so maybe it just needs more time.
