Maid has just fallen to 0.00012! Ffs now my loss has doubled to 0.6 btc if I sell now...

Whats your opinions on the price rising again? Or is it just crashing?
Every coin's price is crashing like crazy, so it would have happened if you had held Ether, Monero, Factom or probably anything else!  Shocked

Yep. Bull markets giveth and bull markets taketh away. And they're always hardest on those who think trading is like a popularity contest. Undecided

Don't trade based on emotion. The price may drop even more or stagnate for a long time; these things happen with every coin. It's gone up nearly a third in value against Monero, so you might consider trading it for that. Or just hold onto them and bide your time; the devs are hard at work with frequent updates to the source code: https://github.com/maidsafe. Don't trust anyone giving advice here, including myself, as we may have conflicting interests or ulterior motives. Make your own informed decisions and know that no one makes the right one every time; sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on.

So should I sell my maid now?

you should always sell as soon as you feel like you are getting screwed because of the dumps not after you are already in loss.

i think it is not right to tell at this point whether or not sell by anyone, you have to decide it on your own, it might go up tomorrow or continue down. maid was just sticking to the eth hype and was going up and ever since that hype stopped the rise of maid has stopped too.
If I sold my maid now I would make a 0.30 btc loss...

I think both MAID and ETH will lose volume because all the money is starting to go back to Bitcoin because at the end of the day everyone just wants more Bitcoin and doesn't care about any other alts, and the halving is near.
This doesn't mean those 2 coins will not go up in the future again tho.

You might be correct since halving is coming.Though there are many other reasons,a community project update and peoples perception with said coin can also affects its price.
I don't know if I should sell now and loose 0.30 btc or sell later?

MAID has ALREADY LOST most of the volume associated with last month's irrational exuberance.  It's barely more liquid than boring old trash like Dash FFS.   Cheesy

That has yet to happen to ETH, which is still BY FAR the most liquid alt, with 25% of BTC's volume today and a similar figure everyday.

Not everyone "just wants more Bitcoin."  There are many sore losers who are butthurt about XT and Classic's complete failure that want to find a way to stay in crypto while punishing Core for being the winner of the Great Schism.

There are also many pro-Core cyberpunks very excited about smart contracts running on a global supercomputer, as Szaboshi foretold in The Before Time (AKA The Long-Long Ago, IE the mid 90s).

The money in MAID is leaving to chase shiny new hype things.

Moreso from Ethereum. How's Monero holding up?

Unlike MAID's brief moment in the spotlight (which ended last month), ETH volume is still strong and steady.

You must have missed my point about MAID volume leaving and not returning.

On Polo, Monero volume is usually second only to ETH and the price is climbing steadily.

Agreed...volume is actually a pretty important indicator.

Given its heavy volume ETH may easily and rapidly recover from earlier losses and even set new highs.

MAID will have much more trouble levitating on dwindling volume, especially since it costs basically nothing to borrow and short.

mETH has lost $354,000,000 in market cap since March 13th.

MAID has a total cap of less than 10% of that.  XMR is half of MAID.

During that time, XMR market cap has gone up by more than 20%...however that constitutes a little less than $4 million in cap.  Not sure that XMR has been much of a beneficiary of the drop in mETH.  Anecdotally, I've heard it, but I sure don't believe that.

Hi, I have noticed the recent declining price in maidsafe coin. Have lost some btc in this (only 0.3btc ish) but I'm hoping it will rise again. What do you guys think?

Last month, MAID was the flavor of the month.  Now it's all about LISK, Monero, and good old-fashioned Bitcoin.

Look at the 1 day volume zoomed out to last year.  It came from nothing, enjoyed a brief pump, and is returning to nothing.

Market cap is rushing out of MAID because there is no long-term store of value potential (we can always make fork MAID for free so it is not scarce).

The money in MAID is leaving to chase shiny new hype things.  The failures (pre-RUST codebase), delays (10 years) and disappointments (TCP for now, UDP someday) don't help either.

Probably because BTC's price is going up.
I'd suggest you to not sell them for a loss.

Hold them.
Will go up soon.  Wink
