When btc dump, they dump
when btc pump, they even dump harder wtf

No, when bitcoin down altcoins down because most of users trust in bitcoin more than altcoins so that will buy more bitcoin.

when bitcoin rise altcoins will rise because some users will use altcoins  because bitcoin is so high

but this is only analysis and real rule .

it is demand and supply who control price

The interesting thing is that most of these developers don't realise that they are scaming people,I just believe natural order will come into play here, from every 10 projects only 1 will survive
I think many developers are not real developers anyway, some are outright scammers that are only looking for a way to make money, some are people with an idea but that have never created anything and are asking for money not knowing if that is enough, too little or too much only a few are developers that have the experience and the knowledge to make a project a reality.

I think there are no rules here. We can compare Bitcoin and altcoins. Because there are thousands of altcoins. The increases and decreases between altcoins are asynchronous.

That is true. It is better to only buy big coins.
Big coins are fine but the reason most people buy into cheap altcoins or icos is because they are expecting amazing returns, big coins are not going to make you rich unless you invest a big amount of money in them and since not many people have that kind of money they prefer to take their chances with those coins despite the known risks associated with them.

If the alts are distributed fairly and requires some mining, it is less likely a scam as compared to pre-mined and token issuance
Yes you are right with some point but if alts that are still mineable were already heavily pre-mined than it will be hard for others to sell at higher price. Most of the pre-mined coins are held by team members and if any one of the member will dump his/her holding price can get dumped really hard.

sure most of the altcoins are a scam, that's because people are seeing how much money is being raised and everyone wants a piece of it, whether its legit what they are doing is another quesitons. We've basically opened a pandora box by issuing relatively easy coins for fiat curreny, which is something that has not been possible until now, and that's a good thing. What is missing from the market is some sort of regulation, not regulation that will limit the potential of blockchain, but regulation that will ensure the smooth transition to mainstream adoption. At the moment it's the wild west, everyone just does whatever the heck he wants without consiquences and people are wondering after why they are getting scammed, or why the project is not delivering on their promises.

I wouldn't say most are scams, just worthless because they copy another coin without bringing a new value to the table.

Yeah, I agree most of the latest ICO offer nothing and just a copy of other coins. I just can't understand why people are still buying and investing on a coins that seems to be a scam from the beginning. But in fairness, there are other coins as well that has a true meaning, but people seems adamant on them also. Just so sad and they will just conclude there ICO without much investment.

Well, ALTs are not necessarily scam but their are chances that it can be one. It's up to the alt dev and if his intentions are for self benefit only. The purpose of alts are for more convenient use of the crypto world. Other than that it may result to scam.
Most definitely, relevant this days. Bitcoin price have recovered and proven once again it's superiority. With prices this high many will be tempted to take advantage of others just to earn.

In ecosystems, eventually the majority of coins will be below the standard value and include scam coins, this is very reasonable considering many coins can not meet the expectations of ICO sales because they are defeated by a similar project or are experiencing investment shocks due to a strong capital focus to buy bitcoin which is experiencing an upward trend. In the end only a few projects are strong and have visions plus official rules that will last.

i think no,  they doesnt really related to each other maybe its just a co incedent  that when bitcoins pump altcoins is dumping but altcoins are not dump  when bitcoins is dump rather they are increasing and  how can say that majority of altcoins are scam?  how can they scam you? all altcoins have value and it is normal for them to decrease or increase because that is their nature.

An important amount of the icos are scams, some other altcoins are not scams but do not have a future and are going to disappear after a few years, then there are the few projects that are worth a thing, try to find them and make money with them since those projects are the ones that can make you rich in just a few years, and are the type of projects that everyone is looking for.

Im down with this philosophy, ICO = no way bb. Crap coins = pump and dump?  Other alt = nice mixed portfolio, be prepared for most to fail and die horrible deaths.

This easy to notice. Many new altcoins appearing daily. It's impossible that they all succeed.
That's why every ico must come with its new idea to solve or give another improvement to the crypto. Just like ethereum that gives the new platform and the idea about the smart contract.
Zcash with its zsnarks and zstarks in the future. A lot of icos were competing to attract the investor's attention.
Not all of them will be success.

Bitcoin is killing Alts for 4 months now, its unlikely to stop now
Mate that is not a good joke, Bitcoin is killing alts :/ that is not so. alts are getting more exposure and more volume for their market share, smart people

Like some of the developers of some scam projects have their future income guaranteed for years, they would first collect millions in Ico and hold their

Coins and are mining all of the coins, Lisk is pumping right now, to prove that I'm right, buy 3000 Lisk and try forging, if you could forge and earn money

Then you know that pump is real and demand is the main cause for it. alts are getting pumped because people are getting rich by selling their Btc, when

Rich enough, they are pumping their coins listed on exchanges with admins like Yoshit, they have now launched their own Yoshitb2 scam coin.

Wow, you are learning fast. Smiley Majority of crypto currencies are controlled by small groups. Every big coin has different speculators.
The problem is you don't know what they want to do with that coin. And they usually do the exact opposite of what public wait to happen.

True that most are scam, but a good number of them are also legit.
When investing in Altcoins, you have to look at the project behind it, most already have an existing project whereas others are still in development and also check how possible or applicable such projects would be.
Very few go as a scam. Most of the altcoins that get into existence have a perfect roadmap and tries to stick to it. The same at times make a big change in the growth with more and more investments into the project. Some have initial pumping and due to lack of exchanges listings and trading usage goes valueless.

Yes most have no use other than to make the developers rich. They are diluting the market and taking away growth from the real coins. In fact we don't need any more coins PERIOD! We have too many already. It's the buyers of these shitcoins who are at fault. Not satisfied with the growth of ether so let's just spread our investments out among 1000's of altcoins! Stupid...we would all be much richer if we just stuck to the top 20 coins.

However it is becoming more difficult to know which project it is going to be successful and which is going to fail since scammers are getting smarter and are trying to disguise their intentions and are doing everything they can so their scams look like something legit, this is why there are many people that prefer to stay away completely from icos and only invest in more established coins.

Some will survive but mostly of it will die sooner. The seas of altcoins really made the market too congested and sometimes it's annoying thinking many of them are shitcoins and just an accessory in the exchanges. So for me, yeah I have some alts that I can say my mistakes for buying them like until now I didn't get any profit out of them. So instead of dumping I just hold it and will don't mind them and thinking that maybe in the future someone will get interest and make some hype. Well nobody knows what can be happen as nothing is certain here.

I know that some of these coin will die and some will survive. Thats why i sell my coins when it gets pumped up i always wait for that so i get my  my money out of it quickly.

There are also coins that are scams and it will stop in mid project or in mid ico.

Most altcoins have only 1 purpose, which is collecting more BTC. This is a fact for both altcoin creators and wise investors. Nobody care about thousands of copy coins, only few major ones have real value.
ICO's collect money because creators want to get more ETH and BTC to their stash. Big altcoin traders try to maximize their profit BTC-wise. The only reality is Bitcoin, others are just toys in the playground. If you know this basic fact you can trade altcoins wiser. Don't fall in love with any altcoin. Buy at the right time, sell at the right time.

The majority are indeed like that, but some coins like ripple and eth, or even zcash always want to prove themselves to move without dependence from bitcoin, eth already claims focus on developing smart smart contracts, potentially resulting in more future user trust

Currently the most of alts are in the red color due to people move their founds in Bitcoin to get as much free coins as it is possible by the 16th November. It is really hard to predict the future of every coin, so I would not hurry to call all of them as scam. The demand is playing the greates role about every coin, the project of a new coin can be good, but if people don't buy it that won't be successful, logically.

Grossly there are 4 kinds of altcoins:

1- cryptocurrencies like LTC, XMR or ZEC

2- "platforms" like Eth, KMD or XBY

3- Securities : tokens used to crowdfund a company

As for number 1 there are few that will thrive and be part of a larger market with more than one crypto ( my fav now is monero)
For number two Eth is establish but i fear for the enoumous mount of junk built on it. I´m looking at Komodo and Xby. ( There are others off course!!)
For number 3 there are lots of them and the trouble is that you invest but don´t get a piece of the company and sometimes you are left with a useless token...

The 4th group it´s the trully new or enovative stuff. maybe IOTA IDK

In this sea of stuff there is lot´s of crap and scams the problem is finding the good ones...

I think also that most of cryptocurrencies are scams. There is too much hype around them and there is too much over valuation. Bitcoin is great invention and because it is biggest it is the best cryptocurrency for buying and selling stuff purpose. But now there is way too much value and I think better value would be about 5 billion not current 100 billion

Not because of scam but because of lack of predictability, trust issues etc. Market can easily lose billions of dollars in hours so it is very normal dump and pump

If you careful in choosing the right ICO you will be able to make big fund with the few dollar investment. You may know about waves and how they improved in the market and value bumped in the market place supply.

If you are looking for price bump and dump means you cannot able to invest in any altcoins buddy. You have read the white paper and then only it is good to invest your money.
This is why researching skills would really be crucial on this matter which we should really able to ride with the waves if we do really like to make money on either bitcoin or altcoins in the market.Their prices are not anytime correlated to each other which means bitcoin my pump altcoin will pump and can possibly goes on the inverted way which means we dont really know on where would prices would go but with the use of our knowledge and experiences we can able to make money but we should really need to face the risk.

I do not think you have a lot of coin when btc pumb is also the best pumb you should look for coin when bitcoin increases then it increases and vice versa. It is advisable for you when the bitcoin increase too high you look for coin of low capitalization then the value of coin if there is less will not be too large you will not suffer losses

Congratulations on figuring this out. The trick now is to find which ones have a potential future and which ones don't, as you are right in 5 years a lot of these so called "alts" won't survive, or still be worth pennies if they do.

Of course I think a lot of people actually do realize this truth and are just playing musical chairs taking advantage of the profits offered by the pump and dump nature of these coins. Just don't be the one left holding the bag when the music stops.

I totally agree on this one, when btc is dumping they are also dumping, that is nonsense and it shouldn't happen, if it will stay this way it will be ugly for the future of cryptocurrencies, if bitcoin is dumping the altcoins should move their own way and I hope this will happen in the future, there are alot of good alts with great projects so they are not all scammy, once they will break trough and be used in world purposes I hope they will lead their own way and eventually it will happen because the market now with dipping and depending on btc is shitty.

That is how altcoin cryptoworld works now. They keep on creating an altcoin for the sake of money without having a plan for long term or a roadmap to the project. Just choose an alt coin that has good and active team with experience which is good to hodl for a long term like 3- 5 years of HODLing. Forget about top 300 below shitcoins! Welcome on this cryptoworld buddy and these things do really happen and its not really surprising and for sure you would already get used to its later on. Altcoin and Bitcoin do work on these way sometimes they correlate to their price movements sometimes they do go on opposite ways this is why its really very risky when we do make use of this analysis anytime. Diversion of techniques and trading ways would really be needed. If we trade smartly then for sure we would gain money in the end of the day.

That is right. If you buy the top 10 mineable altcoin, then it is possible to make some profits.

Well i don't see a big surprise here we all know BTC is the main actor here but if you want to get some cash you better read the potential of alt coins carefully. There will alts like precious gem time to time. Just don't ignore them completely and you will be fine.

When btc dump, they dump
when btc pump, they even dump harder wtf
As at last year whenever bitcoin core is pumping altcoins get dump and whenever altcoins is pumping bitcoin core get dump but now when bitcoin core get pump altcoins get dump and when it dump altcoins also get dump. I think everything center around bitcoin and others cryptocurrency are like not getting power to compete with bitcoin. It then mean the best investment is to buy bitcoin when it dump and sell when it pump continuously instead of buying altcoins.

This is not a scam.

And Welcome to the cryptos world.
Now you understand how the market goes, right?
But, there're some altcoins that did not affected by bitcoin price.

We need to be smart for this. Just so you know, there are lots of alts out there.

That is the puzzle here that everyone who is into trading really has to solve and find a way out. I cannot understand the ways of crypto totally also. But I am carefully choosing those coins I think will really receive the blow of the dumping without much effect and continue climbing. I have been wrong several times though.  Grin

Even some of altcoin will be rolling out the product in the future and it seems you will still be calling them all as scam coins.  Grin Have you seen the latest pump of the majority of altcoin? Because altcoin wasn't following the bitcoin for 100%. You must see it in the coinmarketcap.

Well its not called a scam, if you think and analyze it majority of the altcoins were being dump after btc price rise just because altcoins are depending in bitcoins , but not totally all it was affected of the main currency knowing that our major use to trade is bitcoins or btc .

There are obvious scams in altcoin market but definitely not majority.
When I look into coins list there are at least hundreds of useful products and assets there sitting.

Try to pick alts with utility value, not just alt-coins or speculative value.
I'm expecting a good alt coin run once bitcoin tops out and people move their profits into them.

That's the downside of altcoin trading, it is the same as bitcoin it's also unpredictable. There are time when bitcoin price dumps it also dumps hard but  when bitcoin price goes steady it tries to increase slowly.

Don't stick to it as a rule.  Just a few months ago when BTC pumped, altcoins pumped even more.  I know it's quite frustrating getting no profit sometimes but as a trader you have to adapt faster than the rest to stay ahead.

i am not too worried if altcoin is dump because i am sure that the price will be recover and reach the higher price. we've seen this before and now altcoin price is down into bottom but there is many altcoin which have positive chance to back increase. with a patience, we can see the rise of altcoin and in that time, make sure we don't missed to sell our coins.

When BTC will be too expensive for a normal person to invest in it, then people will jump in altcoins...So yes find a promising coin and see where it can take you in a few years.

What is the logic in that? People don't just look at the price to decide on what to buy.
