If you want to make that much with your lower amount of capital hen I think it is possible but only if you invest in altcoins, as only with altcoins you will be able to multiply your capital to multiple X, with only BTC/USD it is impossible as for that you need some higher amount of money.

I learned from some of my friends, every day just do trade, they do not have jobs. but they can have a lot of money and quite successful. have a lot of capital is very easy to make a profit on trading.
I already experience to make a lots of profit in trading and its a good to study because its low risk than in gambling..
I learn a lot one of my friend in trading how to manage your trading strategy and how you can recover your loses in trading.
If you learned you can easily make more profit..
yes, I've done trades like my friend because I want to make a living from trading, although I still have a lot to learn from my friend who is quite expert. I am more addicted to trading, rather than gambling. but trading is always spent a lot of time to always monitor price movements.

yes it happened to some of my friends as well. they are lucky. people who do not know may think they are people who are poor, but in reality they are working at home. they have a wealth of very many. they get it all for their hard work. it was incredible .

Hi!

What do you people think about making a living by trading BTC/USD or BTC with other ALT Coins?

Do you think it's possible to make a living with an excellent starting capital? ($100k ~)

I am looking to get at least $5000 per month profit with this capital

Can we have this kind of income as a "sustainable income."

Is anyone making a living trading? What kind of strategy do you like more.

It's not recommended to make a living thru trading. Trade earnings must only used for trades. If you will just continue to make such regular withdrawals out of your trading earnings then it will be just a "come and go" money. Please keep in mind that price fluctuations affect your trade earnings so in here you don't have any "fixed" earnings in regular basis. So better fuck off with another way to cover all your living needs and make trading as part of your backup financial source so that earnings are just intact.
Yeah you have the point if you really want to grow your business as trader better to dont spend it as your  financial solution the price of altcoin or bitcoin is unpredictable we dont know how we can and when we can get a profit you have no fixed earnings in trading and its a long time before you can be success in trading.. better to find a job that you can earn fixed for your daily nereds.

Trading is just temporary earnings and we cannot assured we can earn to it everyday, it cannot really gaurantee us to make a living with it since the flactuation is pretty unpredictable thats why i dont find any fact or good aspects that trading can be a good alternative to earn money enough for our livings, remember we have a high chance to lose our money sudden downwards flactuation and thats the reason we should find another alternatives to earn and dont take it seriously.

Sometimes is very hard or at least risky if you put it that way when it comes to trading but if you are smart enough yes of course you can earn enough to  have a decent life.

You might even start with 0.5btc just to get a feel of how trading works, then gradually increase your capital as you gain more experience.
You need to keep an eye on the charts all the time to know the best time to sell/buy.

I won’t advice in technical sense but I think earning for a living is quite possible (with the capital amount you quoted). I am considering you are about to start trading and you are in beginner phase. I would say, don’t invest whole capital in one shot and don’t expect quick returns (especially if you are expecting sustainable income), diversify your investments, start will lowest risks options (yes you will get low returns with low risk but you will not lose your capital and that’s important). Your knowledge & skills are one part but gain experience with small deals and then you should think of larger traded.

If you want to have only the online trading job then I should think twice before doing this because what If a hack happens and all your funds get stolen or at least locked, how will you spend your rest of you life without money? I would participate on a trading group so the lost would be shared or something like this.

Make a living by trading is possible, but you need to start with huge budget, and also you should having really good knowledge and experience about this domain
This domain? what a relationship between domain and trading?I'm missing understanding about this. not good for a newbie to starting with a huge amount. maybe for the advanced it's possible for that.

For that amount of capital surely you can make $5000 profit of even more in a month. My only concern is having $100K in an exchange, something might happen to the exchange , maybe get hacked , or your account gets hacked. You should however figure out a way of keeping $100K worth of altcoins in  a separate wallet and then deposit your profits into trezor wallet. It's a suggestion but to answer you ,thats a very good capital to start with

its always possible. the thing is that crypto market doesn't always have trends like how the forex does.
Fiat always moves differently and that you are allowed to borrow leverages to which can amplify your earnings. so its better to do it on FOREX but that is if you learn it well too.

Forex has been long existing and many has already have an established strategy on how to gain from it. With the amount of capital you have ($100k), I guess it would be better if you trade forex because the price is more stable than bitcoin where you cannot predict the movement just yet because of its volume and many people/exchanges hold amount that can greatly affect the price movement like the recent hacking. You just have to research and study forex and it would be better if you have a mentor that will guide you. You can still opt to trade bitcoin but its more risky than forex because of the sudden price movements.

Exactly.  A good  Forex trader doesn't have to trade every day like a scalper. he just need to wait for obvious win-win trend before entering a position. We can also apply this on Binary trading here in bitcoin but that would be a long wait unless you already know how to look at the charts. So learning forex trading is essential because its still a double edge sword, you could profit well or loss big due to its borrowed leverages.

I make a living from trade, but I do not have a lot of capital. but enough for me to make enough profit.

trading altcoin more potential to benefit greatly, with many choices of coins and the price could rise up to 500%.

more capital, it is easier to make a profit. but it all depends experience and your strategy.

it depends on how much experience you have got in trading, if you have a long history then i think it is possible.
but in general for everybody who is trading, whether you are new or experienced, trading is risky and trading in crypto world is even riskier because of all these manipulations.

It is indeed possible to make a living out of trading altcoins but its quite unlikely if you're going to try out every single one of the alt coins out there. At first you're gonna be needing a decent amount of capital and skills. And then you're going to need to do some research first before you put your money into an investment because there's a lot of scam coins out there. You should be in a group as well so you could always for help and advice from experts.

also don't forget that many of the crypto markets (most of the altcoins) are full of manipulation some of them smaller and some larger manipulation percentage. and that always makes it harder to trade. although i have to say manipulation exists everywhere even in forex or stocks market but the bigger a market is the smaller the effect of the manipulation will be.

Yes you will make more money with your investment, but you have to make decent ideas in crypto currencies, some time it will be very high it seems, some times suddenly it will go down.

planning should be their with your investment, according to your plan you can make tons of money. don't be hurry when it goes down..just wait patiently and sell them at good price.than you will make good profit.

Thanks

Making a living with trading is possible but I think its not really worth doing it everyday, it can be profitable but also has a lot of risks.
Due to the fact there is also some luck involved you can also lose a lot of money in a relative very short term.

Overall I do not recommend you to make your living from trading.

I think it is possible to make your living with trading. As long as you have a good strategy and a great skills in trading and you can earn a decent profit from your trades. Besides, my uncle is a trader and he is very good at it. I want to learn trading also but I am not that gifted. hahah Cheesy I dont know what strategy he is using and how he trades because I never ask him for that. But I think he is trading in forex and It is more complicated than trading bitcoins right ?

You would require to have a good amount to money so that with few you can trade, some you can buy alt coins and for some you can hold btc and if price rises you can sell or hold for some months.
Yeah that's a good suggestion spread that huge amount of money on different markets like putting some money on alt coin market to grow that capital faster because there are much of coins that are available on market and most of them are very easy to manipulate because you have a lot of money. And put the rest of your money on bitcoin and just hold them for a long term investment and i'm sure just after 4 years or more the amount that you invested will surely doubled Smiley.
That is a good idea indeed.
Doing diversify is the best thing you can do if you really want's to invest money in some low % return,it keeps you safe and in many ways
you can earn more doing this.

Yea, if you invest too much BTC into one market, you can lose most of your BTC, or gain a lot of profit with them. It's the way it is when the insecurity of the market.

Trading can let you lose a lot of money but it also can let you earn a lot of money its luck that is involved with it.

You can make a living with all kind of methods from the bitcoin, you are right about the fact that trading is a nice way of earning.
I would not make a living from it because its depending on luck so that is also true.

You have 100000$ bankroll and willing to win 5000$ per month which is just 5% of your bankroll per month even that gain is possible within one day or one week of trading if you go with good strategy. But in your case bankroll is high so i doubt market can handle this amount without price getting changed significantly, as i am small level trader.

With your capital you really can make a living, no shit. If I were you I would choose BTC to USD. imo you would take a lower risk in btc-usd than going to btc-altcoin trading.
In my opinion btc-altcoin trading would be the best to help him to grow his capital fast because there are many coins to choose. So if there are many option it will help you a lot because you can choose what is on the trend which is best among the rest and so forth. If you ask me and i have that huge amount of money i will put it on a trading site Smiley.

I am starting with very small money and started trading and I believe if you trade coins with medium to high volume you could easily reach that target, maybe more. I am looking for a good robot for the altcoin exchanges but am not sure which one is the best.
Yeah alt coin with a great volume can help you to earn money faster and easier. If you ask me i would not use robot/bot because why would need that if you are skilled enough to face problems and make better decision. Don't rely on bots because you can make better profits than them.

Yeah, if a person is expert in trade then why will he rely on bots and create a risk for his/her money, the better is that a person do trade himself and if h/she is not expert in trade then they do not need to start trade but have to learn about trade first and after that they should have to invest there.

100k$ is a huge bankroll. well you need to know how to read charts. technical/fundamental analysis. plan your trades. and set a goal. You need also to know how to control you emotion. Im happy 5% to 10% gain in a day. You must consider also if you are a long term or short term trader.

If you invest in bitcoins now, and if the price doubles up, you will already make a whopping 100% profit on your investment, which means you have already secured your 20 months profit in a single bet.

yes it is possible but it is not going to be an easy thing to pull off.

trading may not be the most glamorous job in the world because of the risks and the stress that it will have on your life but it can be a good and profitable thing to do.

but i personally like doing it as a second job not to make a living from it.

With 100 k you can choose with what to trade, you have enough money to trade with BTC and with alt's in the same time. There is people who live from trading and gambling, both are risky jobs, but profit can be high.
I recommend you to try trading with just 1 % of your money, and don't invest more until you become sure in what you are doing, and how big risk you are taking.
In many ways trading is like gambling, so be very careful with your money, if you make bad moves you can stay without your money.

You can start earning a small amount on every trading and since its halving coming near if price rose suddenly and reaches 800$+ then any which ways if you hold btc even if you purchase now you will earn great returns. Also if you earn from faucets, gambling etc it will an additional bonus only for you.

you can make living trading bitcoin/usd you must use much high capital,
but you living trading altcoin you can use low capital

$100k is enough for BTC/USD?

$100k would be more than enough if you wanted to trade in btc/usd but would you actually be willing to take that risk with so much money? You could easily make more out of that 100k but you could also quite as easily wipe out that 100k in a heartbeat. You would have to be committed and willig to lose that money if you were going to try and short bitcoin.

If you have a starting capital of $100,000 in BTC, you should do fine, but you need to be smart about it all!!!  If you are looking for some investment strategies and such, please PM me.  I do not make a living on here, but everything I have on here is because I have earned it online.  I did not invest nothing into it at all.
Oh my dear god, if I had that amount of money there's no way in hell I'd be trading altcoins.  For one thing, the markets are generally too thin to do any trading with size.  And the other thing, most importantly, volatility is waaaay too high for me.  You can easily lose 90% of your stake within seconds if the coin is shitty enough--and most of them are.

Trading stocks, bonds, pork bellies, and shitcoins is super risky.  Even experienced traders have trouble making a living at it.  Try it OP, get back to us.

I wouldn't trade low volume alt coins. I usually like the BTC/USD more

With $100,000 as balance for trading purposes you can definitely make a living with that much money. If I had that amount to trade with, I would just need to gain 3% every month, which equals $3000 in profits. But I don't know how your style of living is when it comes to expenses etc. Maybe you need at least $5,000-$10,000 every month. For experienced traders even that is a more than acceptable/achievable monthly profit target.

Generally it is advisable to have 1-2 years income in your bank as a "nest egg" in case trading doesn't work out.  You can have sustainable profit on $100k capital if you exercise proper risk management.   Source: I trade full time.

I think yes you can make profit as consistent from trading, but You need system of trading or trading plan to do it. And you need more time too. You can read reference about it on google or you buy book who talking about trading. Good luck

i think that it is possible to earn for a living with starting capital as this, as if you are good trader you know when to buy or sell you you should make lots of money for a living with capital like this

but of course if altcoins you want to buy price will fall down after you buy, you probably won't get any profit or even you will lose your money, so it is about altcoins price too

So let me get this right, You make a profit of over 200k yet you default on a btc loan and got red trusted for it? Something here doesnt quite add up. A loan of only 0.1btc at that.

1) Account you see is a demo, just for test my strategy (but is over 2 month opened)
2) On real account in 2015 i made an average profit of 0.05% daily (400% in one year) but trade with low risk
3) Default loan is not mine, this is a bought account  Tongue
So how you do that can you share your methods publicly so that we an try it if this is true.. you are making fast profit in few days. .but very hard to know if how you do that..

I simply increase my loss risk to 50-60% . Trade on Cable, Eur\usd and USD\JPY. With brexit help all was really easy. Take a look. Now i go to open a new position....

I think it depends in your skills honestly trading is not easy to do but you can make profit fast and low risk but the problem its hard to choose what altcoin is the best to choose.. better to always relay in martketcap and choose top 20 altcoins there.. and i think this one of the tip that you can start and relaying in the marketcap so that you are far in shitscoins.

You need to have a huge amount of bitcoin that you're trading to make a living at it.  You also have to be very good at timing the ups and downs of the bitcoin market.

What would you say a huge amount is to make a living?

You don't necessarily need a *huge* amount, although having a large initial capital will allow you to take low-risk investments/trades and still profit a respectable amount from it. Amounts that you should be looking for varies on what your style of trading is; are you a risky player, or a low-risk, low-reward kind of guy?

Also, I'm not sure if you are comfortable and have experience in trading, but if you're not, I would recommend for you to take a small amount of money and start getting yourself familiar with it; that way, you can learn from your mistakes and not lose much at all.

TL;DR: amount varies on how you trade, and best of luck with trades. Smiley

Hey there, to be honest, my plan is to move to a low-cost of living country and make around 10k per month to spend + more to add to my capital. 20k would be ideal, but that is 25% on my capital which I'm not sure its possible so probably a 10% monthly would be a better aim.

I would like to have mid-risk trades and low-risk trades. My starting capital could be 100k or a little bit more depending on potential. Do you think it's possible to make that amount per month with that money?
In a really low cost country, you wouldn't even need 10k each month, so it would be wiser to just re-invest that profit or invest into something more long term...

I dont even know where you would need to earn 10k a month to live comfortable unless you were wanting to live somewhere like london or newyork. Id be more than delighted if i could even make 2k a month from trading, I could quit the day job and move into full time bitcoin but thats not going to happen anytime soon.

yes some people could make living with their trading activity and seems your basic capital looks very huge for me but very difficult to get stable income in trading because not all day you will earn profit and even for traders expert also have experienced to loss but if you have good knowledge to predictions the prices may be you could reach your profit target but in trading huge capital money doesn't guarantee will earn huge profit too

Living by trading is possible but going all in one asset is really risky. So is important to diversy your portfolio (read someting about Modigliane & Miller). Yes, 100k should be good , but need to be split in not less than 20-30 different asset, on 4-5 different markets.

Hi!
What do you people think about making a living by trading BTC/USD or BTC with other ALT Coins?

it is a very risky thing to do, so I don't think I would ever do it for a living. but it is definitely a possible thing and there are people who are doing it right now and are successful in it.

both markets are good, you can predict btc/usd market better but the changes are smaller.
on the other hand predicting altcoin markets is a bit harder but because of big changes you can make so much more money.

it is possible to earn that much but it will require that much more work and stress. because it is risky you will have to endure a lot of stress with each swing and the bigger the capital the bigger the pressure is going to be.

If you do have the 100k to spend in trading to make your living then i would be extremely careful. You could end up putting that 100k into someone elses pocket and end up with nothing, All it takes is a few bad traded and then taking a few bigger risks due to losing big a couple of times. Before you know it that 100k could be eaten up. In my opinion its a pretty big risk.

Yes, you can make living by trading btc/usd but you have to buy and sell in a right time,do not trade when you are in emotional, you need to be able to concentrate on the charts and not get caught up with other things going on.
Better start with small amount before put all your fund to minimize the loss

yes.

is anybody doing it?
yes

are all traders successful doing it?
no

you see, trading is not as easy as you may think. so jumping in with a lot of money and no experience can lead to disasters and you will lose a lot of your money. so i suggest you start smaller and then in time if you feel like trading is profitable for you then invest more.

It's possible for me to make a living with trading but to make sure about it you need to study first and well educated to avoid trading failure and panic selling. With that amount ($100k) it's very possible to earn at least 10% just choose the right alt coin and crowded public exchange because if you join crowded exchange site it will be easier to you to earn profit.

With recent up`s and downs you could earn 5 000 $ in couple days, and to have free rest of the month. You need to have skills to make money from trading, its not so easy at all. You really need to know how to catch that moments before big rise/dump. You need to find a way to inform your self about future events and a way to predict how much impact will something have on btc price.
Your trading will depend from that, and if you are wrong you can lose a lot of money. Trading and make a living from trading is not for everyone, you need to have knowledge about it. I wish you good luck, and be careful.

You can make your tread here, and if you are good in trading you will have followers. Of course if you have a wish to share your informations and predictions in order to help people to earn some money.

but it is risky thing to do that is why i always keep my investment in trading a little small to take smaller risks.
but it can be done because there is a lot of very good opportunities for making profit especially in altcoin markets.

You need to have a huge amount of bitcoin that you're trading to make a living at it.  You also have to be very good at timing the ups and downs of the bitcoin market.

If you have a starting capital of $100,000 in BTC, you should do fine, but you need to be smart about it all!!!  If you are looking for some investment strategies and such, please PM me.  I do not make a living on here, but everything I have on here is because I have earned it online.  I did not invest nothing into it at all.
