I really like the idea of bitcoin is accessible  in paying everything we need. But currently there are not much of users here since its like its new and not all country can adapt it easily but there are country now like Japan but for now we need to convert it with our own currency and we just need to save our bitcoins for future use

Don't get me wrong, I love bitcoin and all but for me, since I live in Thailand, it is just going to sit there in my wallet.

I'm not rich so sometimes I need to use my bitcoin for daily use like going to restaurant, pay gas or rent.

Am I alone on this or is bitcoin only truly used for buying on internet unless you live in the U.S?
Well if you visit Singapore a country which closes to your country you can buy almost everything using your bitcoin, I live in the 3rd country so my bitcoin will stay in my wallet and I'm so grateful with that since I'm holding bitcoin for investment purpose, not as a currency. I don't know is it just me or... that I think that bitcoin is not ready to be mainstream especially as payment tool in real life I mean confirmation time, the fee, public awareness of it etc we all know that there is some payment gateway which faster and cheaper than bitcoin. I just feel that bitcoin is good enough to be an internet currency.

I hope there is a big company that can be like a bank and can open branches around the world so bitcoin service is same as bank. if it is not supported with bitcoin ATM service it is certainly difficult to be able to use bitcoin on a regular basis.

Well a lack of merchants that are able to accept bitcoin directly is definitely a problem right now. However, as bitcoin gains more adopters i can definitely see this problem become less and less prominent in the future.

There is already quite a difference between now and 3-4 years ago. The number of bitcoin acceptors have increased exponentially.

But then if you really need to buy something, then you can really just trade you btc to fiat on a site like localbitcoins and get waht you want.

this is how i feel 2 to 3 years ago circa 2014-2015, it is seems pointless to me if i bought a bitcoin and had difficulty to use it in my location and there were few people who will accept btc to fiat exchanges and sometimes i was scammed and that time the bitcoin price was very bearish the only ATH was 1800 during dec 2014 to january 2015, but after the mt. gox scandal in feb. 2015 the price drop down to 300 and that's the reason why i stop buying btc and then later in mid 2015  there was a company who operated a btc exchange platform in my area and that gives my bitoin back to life and now i am happy again trading and investing btc and sometimes used it for merchant payment like bills, restaurants and service shops.

You are not alone, I also let it sit in the wallet because BTC is not adopted yet in my country. Well, atleast you know that in the future you will have some more amount to spend, because in the long run holding bitcoin, will make you have great profits I think. I also have a job in which I receive a salary paid in fiat, so I can take care of my daily expenses.
This is how most users of bitcoin. This is wrong. By such actions, we artificially create a shortage of bitcoins in the market and become the creators of the bitcoin bubble. When it burst we ourselves become its victims. The main objective of bitcoin to be a currency.

I totally agree with you there. If everybody just sees bitcoin as an investment and not actually use it (become usefull in every day life) then there not much to invest for.

I have been looking for banks that use hybrid credit cards. Like Fiat and Bitcoin as Visa etc. but non here has adapted it yet in this backwards country.

It can be used not just in US but also in Japan because they adopted bitcoin. Somehow I also want to use bitcoin for everyday use like you for shopping at a mall and not just online. I would also like to use them to pay for groceries. That being said, bitcoin will need to develop more and go through more forks in order for it to be usable for daily expenses because as of the moment transaction confirmation times is too slow IMO to be used over the counter.

Permit me to say, you are the one limiting the use of your bitcoin and making it sit in your wallet without any use and if that is the case then you can simply donate it to charity.

A lot of Nationalities are involved in bitcoin and not all of them are from the United States and not all of them can equally buy things with their bitcoin such as groceries or go to restaurants etc. and I belong to one of those countries and quite a number of people here.

What we do is think outside the box and that exactly what you need to do and make the best use of the opportunity you have. Bitcoin is money and can be exchanged as well. For the fact that you can earn some and keep some means you are not the only one involved in the whole of the country which means there is an avenue or platform where like minded individuals like you are making it happen.

All you need to do is ensure you identify those platforms or people and you will be you are part of this eventually.

I live in Serbia and I also use bitcoin in my everyday life just like you do. My salary is not big and my wifey doesn't work. We cash out our coins often, like once a month or more often to cover all our ordinary costs. I do believe that many people over the world live like that, even in the United States.

Bitcoin is still in its early adoption stage,
a lot of services and companies are getting developed to handle btc>fiat transactions so its easy and safe for the merchants

Exactly, things are becoming very convenient to people once every merchant starts accepting Bitcoin. Technology is improving so adoption will also happen but these things will take time for people to use Bitcoin for daily purpose.

This is the case everywhere! You are not alone, the best thing you can do is get a bitcoin debitcard where you will have a physical card that can be used to pay for anything that has either mastercard or visa. Or else you would have to convert from bitcoins to fiat as much as you can. Luckily for me, there is an easy way to convert bitcoins to cash though the cost of converting is still a pain.

first you need to be willing to spend bitcoin. ask yourself if the restaurant or the gas-station you use started accepting bitcoin today will you be spending bitcoin there? the answer is mostly no. people are not yet so happy about spending their "investment". if that answer changes to mostly yes, then it will be different. the merchants, restaurants and the gas-stations will start happily accepting bitcoin. and it will be easier for them too.

Its hard to use bitcoin as payment because it has an unstable price, so its too much work that is the reason why others don't accept bitcoin as payment. If bitcoin can establish a good fundamental that will make the price in static then there is a chance that bitcoin will be used as money and it will be treated that way. But do not expect that dollars and other used currency will be vanish, that will never happen our standard currency now has no reason to be replaced.

There is an increasing number of service providers and merchants who accept Bitcoin all over the world.
A common use for Bitcoin is online shopping. There are hundreds of online retailers and shops who accept Bitcoin. Search engines like Spendabit can help you find millions of products, all available for purchase with bitcoins. But, there are also many local businesses, such as hotels, cafes and restaurants, that accept Bitcoin. You can try Coinmap.org to browse thousands of businesses around the world.
If you prefer convenience and you don't have time to look for local businesses that accept Bitcoin, get at least one chip-and-PIN Bitcoin debit card. They usually come in one currency (eg USD denominated cards), so having more cards may be handy for avoiding paying foreign transaction fees. Bitcoin cards are linked with payment processors such as Visa, which are accepted at many locations. You can also use them to convert bitcoins to fiat in local currencies and withdraw cash from ATMs.

Yeah it is the same here in my country, there is no use for it in real life other than the internet, but I hope soon I will be able to.

In my country as well its more about speculation or investment people use the btc for. Though now some of the retailers are trying to figure out how they can accept it and what are the benefits of accepting in the daily life. More the business start accepting the btc higher will be the mass adoption of the people and thus will have a better price in coming times.

I also used my bitcoin like you. But I need to convert it to fiat before I can used it. Like buying food and paying bills. So you are not alone and it seems that many people do it as well. Not many merchants have accepted bitcoin yet so it doesn't matter if you live in the States or Asia. Bitcoin has reach the moment wherein people are using it to buy stuff online.

The country of Japan is now using bitcoin in their daily lives. When I have read articles about bitcoin I found out that 100,000 + of the stores in the Japan are now accepting bitcoin as payment. I think it is very awesome.

Your correct on that and I agree that bitcoin still new and let us give time for it to matured more. Let those businesses adapt and feature bitcoin transactions as they need more studies and surveys if it really as necessary or not. But in my country we have fast phase adaptation to technology, especially on Blockchain and bitcoin/cryptocurrency.

There are few countries that already widened the use of bitcoin, in my case our country is not yet that open with regards to bitcoin .
So for me to use my money, I need first to convert it to our currency but I am hoping that someday it will be more acceptable in our country and to all as I am a bitcoin lover also.
