Yes, I have. They work just fine. After you skip over the wrongly formatted threads of course. Funny how you didn't try that.

Put your glasses on and get a life.

Congrats kiba!

Now let's talk about the new section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=255479.new#new

...

The reason for the standard we are using now is that it makes it easy to sort the press articles about bitcoin chronological using https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0;sort=subject or https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=77.0;sort=subject;desc .

That's just the best solution from a technical point of view.

Have you tried the llnks? Is funny how they don't work at all.

Doesn't the Press section already use the standard date format? What's the problem?

It all started in this thread when Lethn forgot to put it "the right way". US is the only country using this standard so I think a new "International" news section where we are free to use the common date standard, DD-MM-YYYY, would be appropriate.

I wasn't even aware of this thread when I made this one here.

Just look at his last posts: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/kiba-491 he is everywhere. And this formate is used since there is a press board.

Yes it does. My point was that for several month now I see kiba checking every single thread there if the press section guidelines are applied correctly.

And it gets ridiculous that he posts in ~5 threads per day to please formate it correctly.

As a mod he could go and directly fix this himself, or not?

Then we should have an European News section where we are not forced to use your awkward date format  Cry

More like... 'non-US' or 'International' because US is pretty much the only country that uses this format.

+1 International

I will point theymos to this thread and RFC

I object because I'm from the UK and I prefer that formatting to the other ones Tongue

Edit: just did a wikipedia search on the ones I'm seeing up there lol

Kiba is patrolling the Press Board for month now, looking out that every thread has it's proper formatting. And posting in every thread when it doesn't fit.

By now this is is getting totally ridiculous. Just give him the rights to fix stuff himself.

I'm sure there will be nobody against this.
