ABCPool is another option ( abcpool.co ). It isn't a pool in its own right, instead it bounces between other pools as a proxy. One way to distribute network hashrate, since it points its power at several different pools throughout the day, from what I understand.

EDIT: My thoughts are going in the direction of distributed mining. Pools are not the future.  Cheesy

p2pool is distributed mining.

CGMiner's --load-balance option can evenly split all your shares between any pools you have set up. Nice, easy way.

you mean like p2pool? https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/1500-th-p2pool-decentralized-dos-resistant-hop-proof-pool-18313
otherwise you can loadshare between several pools - distributing your power and reducing variance https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/mine-in-multiple-pools-to-reduce-variance-78031

EDIT: I think that pools will have a role to play for the foreseeable future

thank you for this second link! yes, pools will not become unrelevant so quick!  Smiley

I plan to buy mining hardware for family members to make the network stronger and more distributed. But it makes no sense to connect them all to one pool. What is the suggestion from the community to make the mining network more distributed with small mining nodes in every household.

Thanks in advance!
