Another social network?

Why not?

I personally only use twitter, so not very interested in a new facebook, but people are free to work out their ideas.

If it doesn't work out, then he still gained experience which can help him with future projects.

You probably should start with getting a chat tab implemented in the Qt wallet and then a username and picture.

i read in the maidsafecoin site that the blockchain can be used for making other platforms.
Would it be possible to use it to make something like a bit facebook?

Great idea! So, when one calls a relative a monumental asshole, it would no longer be deletable by the author. What could possible go wrong with this idea? Not to mention a Sheldon-Cooper-type typing in, "What makes teenage girls excited?"

People have already proposed it and are talking about it. I think a decentralized facebook would be a great idea.

The block chain allows for any exchange of value between two entities without a middleman. Transactions of all kinds are possible. You can use the block chain to store documents securely. Onename, a startup, is working on a social network that uses the block chain to validate identity. (Sorry, Facebook.) And then there’s the Internet of things. “Every time you’re running low on printer ink, it could notify the block chain and send you more,” theorizes Ryan Selkis of the Digital Currency Group.

I hope it will never happens. The less facebook the better.

Maybe he wanted to intend a new social network, based on the blockchain, not a facebook copy.
