I suggest following Peter Bushnell on Twitter and checking out FeatherCoin and UFO coin.  Both are his babies and both are NeoScrypt.  I am not sure about the ins and outs of creating your own, but if you learn about these two coins you may gain some insight on how to create your own coin and what the pros and cons of Neoscrypt are.

Good luck!

If you want to create an ERC20 token, the cost is low, and Google has a tutorial, so you can issue an ERC20 token in just five minutes.
You can search for relevant tutorials on Google.

Hey. As a project I would like to build myself a PoW altcoin. This is not anything I'm gonna sell or release to the public, but I want to have it in a small group of ~100 people. I don't need fancy masternodes or anonymity systems, I just want a working mineable altcoin with a working wallet that is preferably running NeoScrypt. How hard would this be to make? I have a little more than basic knowledge in programming and I have some smaller servers I can use. I've looked around and haven't found a guide for anything that isn't a bitcoin fork. Is there one? I would love to know.

This isn't an important project , I only want to make it for fun. Thanks!
