Me I would look at this strictly from two angles directly. If a not is built genuinely to do a job of human that would have been done legitimately, then that is good but if it is for fake stuffs, cheating like number of followers or to hack people's account, then it won't be good for social and natural justice.

I think u both understand it a little bit wrong. I'm not talking about bots as followers/Subs - I mean bots as tool to promote someone.
It's all about the reach and this ends up with more or less real people as followers/Subs.

Oh, we did get the wrong impression that it's something like buying followers.

So it's like some automated feature to manage your account(s) postings, if I'm not mistaken?

This seems to be the topic of the day. Just a while back, i was commenting on a topic about the, ethics of having an Alt-account on the meta board..
Using bot network to upgrade ones social media has become a tool of the trade sith lot of such services on offer, even here at the services section. At social media sites where numbers can matter, like on twitter or instagram, i think it is downright unethical for someone to totally depend on these. But then it is also unethical to hire people to write a CV or SOP for you. Yet, there are services that allow this.

It is about the fact that because everyone is doing it, you cannot be left behind. Having a huge number of fake likes or followers can make an account and its content seem more important at first glance. It can be useful in getting the initial attention. Yet, the content WILL matter for long term user engagement and growth.

So I'd say if someone is going to work full time on their social marketing then using bots for an intial traction will gradually become a business tool. The trick probably is to not over do it and actually focus on content and truly organic growth.

They might have misunderstood you since you said "Bot network", even I am confused of what does that mean.

Nonetheless, bot is fine. As long as you are targeting the right audience with your bot. Hey, even other youtubers use that in order to gain more significant numbers for their statistics.

Nothing comes close to human interaction compared to bots. You might gain some traction at the beginning but in the long run, the loyal fans are the one that'd keep your business afloat.

Using YouTube as an example. Getting bots to expand your channel might seem fun, but in the end, there's hardly any interaction from genuine viewers.

It's all about the context. Example: 4 followers are very few on Instagram, while 4 followers when you walk a lone on a dark alley are a lot. Same thing goes for Bots. Depending on the context, bots can be either good or bad. To follow your exact example, creating a bot network on instagram is a bad thing because instead of growing a genuine fan base you'd grow.. nothing, or just numbers that don't mean anything.

Hi,

I would like to know what u think about people build up a buisness with BOTs?
The most services didn't allow automation software - so breaking the "rules" should be something bad, or not?

For example: Two upcoming Influencers want become big and earn money with their name/brand. 1 is creating a bot network on a social media (Instagram for example) and use it to promote hiself. The other one is just doing the "normal" way of grow.
After a time 1 is sitting there with a high reach and making his goal much more faster than 2.

Do u think that's not fair? Or is 1 just smarter? - Do you respect people have good results using blackhat methodes?

Really would like to know wht u think about this!
