No, don't see how ETH could be $5000 in this year.

BTC $50k ETH $5k at the end of this year, why it's so bad guys. Talk about in one year.

I believe ethereum will goes this high in this year. Last year all ico funded is 4 billion dollar and if the ammount of ico and healthy ico increase 3 - 4 times its mean will be 16 billion funded project this year and most of them using ethereum blockchain to issued token. Many developer familiar with solidity programing and increasing every month. Eth demand will spike again if the ico is still growing.
I agree

I am interested if the 5000 gets reach by a high BTC price 0.1 ETH or a 0.5 ETH. Will be interesting to see the future!

I am positive that because many ETH based tokens have been increasing in value for the last few days, it is very likely that the price of ETH will skyrocket to a few thousand. Maybe it could even reach 5k in 2 years possibly. But if lots and lots of people will notice then it is now a contender with BTC and might replace it as the dominant coin in the crypto world.

Ethereum looks to be consolidating around the $1000 level. I've noticed this coin doesn't make huge irrational moves like some of these other altcoins seems to do. It's price movement seems more natural, good sign for the future.
Yeah, ETH does increase but very slowly compare other coin and all is a healthy increase.

It was interesting watching how much more stable Ether became compared to most coins over the last year. In the first half of 2017 during Ethereum conferences where people would make announcements, for example companies joining the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, the price would jump and then tank a couple weeks later. Later in 2017 that kind of volatility wasn't seen as much even with Bitcoin and all the alts fluctuating.

Ethereum is in a long term price channel on the ETH/BTC chart that has it reaching around 0.4-0.5 BTC sometime in the next few months. Given the amount of catalysts that are coming up I don't see this as being too farfetched. Casper, sharding, plasma, first gen dApps launching, futures/ETFs, raiden network, etc. could all launch or make huge progress this year. In terms of developer support no crypto project is even in the same stratosphere as Ethereum right now.

I go into more detail and explain the technicals in this video: https://youtu.be/w5tm64qqIyg. Let me know what you think.

I think you just made the case for $10k ethereum insead of $5k, being that if it reaches 0.4/0.5 btc it will probably be closer to that figure. You make some very valid points and it's hard to disagree with them, lots of these updates can greatly enhance the ethereum network and really take it to the next level.

I think it is an achievable figure of $ 5,000 for ETHEREUM. Virtually any coin can make X5-X10 this year. The project is the largest number of transactions falls on him. Now your problem will solve and forward to strong growth. I believe it
I agree. Once PoS and scaling upgrades come out the sky is the limit.

Well, about the Ethereum you can talk a lot, but now you can see one thing that he is given hard to break his records, even in 1k. And it seems to me that it is too early to make forecasts on it, but I believe that it will be necessary for him to believe that he has invested so much in him.

I've been saying this for awhile, I believe eth will eventually take the top spot.  Look at how many of the top 100 cryptos run on ethereum.  I think $2000-3000 within 3 months.
