As you can see in the lending section, if you even make a post somewhat close to calling yourself a female, it's a insta-loan deny. This is going a bit off-topic, but in many online communities, females often get on the trash-talk side, most often in Gaming.

And to be dead honest, some people on this forum are obviously sexists.

They get insta-deny because most people that claim to be female are not. They go out of their way to make it known that they're "female", but can you tell me how this makes a difference in getting a loan or selling an item? There's no reason why anyone should bring up their gender when it's not relevant to transactions or forum discussion.

It's based on those who set a gender in their profiles, I don't think it's too accurate.

I fail to see the accuracy, also. I could just go and say I'm a female on it, even if my gender differs. And I'd do it for kicks, too. What if some of the females that used to forum did so?

I'd guess way more people pretend to be female than those that pretend to be male. I can think of uses of pretending to female (googling pr0n and making people pay for it), but not that of pretending to be male.

I don't think that the stat is really accurate, probably there are 50 males every 1 female...

I don't think that's accurate either. Probably more like 1000 to 1  Cheesy.

It's obviously not going to be accurate in reality. I've seen some members state they're a female just for a joke, and 99% of the others who state so are just taking any opportunity they can to assure you they're female to try scam you (other big giveaways are an obviously female name and constantly going out of their way to tell you or indicate/allude to them being a female at every opportunity).

I guess most people have it non declared on their profile, so it says nothing at all. Also the multiaccount stuff can make the stats even more innacurate.

But I doubt the true ratio is more balanced than what is shown in the stats

How does the statistics page the male to female ratio of users? I do not remember saying my gender when I signed up for my account, nor do I remember making this designation anywhere on my settings
