I agree, that looked like a bb gun shot. It would be easy for them to do, just fire a blank with one gun and the bb gun is off camera. SFX could be edited in post to match the video.
This is some kind of a toy weapon. A common shot of a 5.56 bullet shot from an assault rifle would get him down so horribly I don't even want to think about. Taking into account an absolute miracle (not losing his groin), he would get a heavy ricochet into one of his legs from that shell pretending to cover his balls. I don't even know what this video has been made for, maybe it is some kind of a joke.
Here is an example to you - what happens to a human when he or she gets a shot from an assault rifle. Yet I am not aware of the rifle model, it could be 7.62, and it deals heavier damage than 5.56. Yet a human here is armoured with a metal plate in his vest, which can take much more damage than the shell shown in the video above.
