A Look Back at 2021
https://mantanetwork.medium.com/a-look-back-at-2021-7e96eb60af28"On the fundraising side, in 2021 we closed two private rounds: a seed round led by Polychain, and a strategic round led by CoinFund and ParaFi. Joining those leads included organizations like Three Arrows Capital’s investment arm, DeFiance, as well as others like Alameda, Hypersphere, Spartan, and Convergence. Individual leaders in the space including Stani (founder of Aave) and Maki (formerly Sushi) also believed in our vision and invested as well.
With this level of support on the investor, community, and contributors side, we got to work. Undoubtedly, every core contributor to the project has been providing endless support and contributions to growing Manta Network. In the latter part of 2021, we successfully launched Dolphin Testnet, which is the private payment testnet for both Manta Network and Calamari Network.

https://forum.manta.network/t/calamari-runtime-3-1-2/68"We would imagine we can reach 10 collators end of Feb, 2022, and 20 collators in Q2. So based on this estimation, we set the initial bonding requirement of running collator to 400_000 KMA. Collator runners will take 60% of transaction fees plus 100% of tips. The remaining 40% of transactions fees goes back to the treasury.
TLDR: The collator runner, even with the current transaction volume, will have >= 10% APY initially and at least 5% APY if we grow to 20 collators."
https://www.entrepreneur.com/article/413554"Manta Network takes a different approach, using privacy-preserving technologies to give users greater assurance that they can’t be traced back to their assets and thus become a target for hackers. It uses zero-knowledge proofs to allow users to transact with privacy, which it has already showcased in partnership with Acala, a DeFi protocol.
When a user moves their funds into the Manta Network, a zero-knowledge equivalent is minted 1:1, such that when the user moves them back out, nobody can trace it back to any previous transactions that took place outside of the Manta Network."
