Basically Worldcoin (based out of Dubai ), is a 'new' digital currency based on Bitcoin that can't be mined and is backed by liquid assets (cash) and involve a central bank and use chargeback fees.
the press release is confusing the 'real' worldcoin with this dubai version.
this might be a phishing site for bank info etc based on Worldcoin / Worldcoin Foundations good name.
