1- I'm building rigs for myself, actually using Gigabyte 990fx with 6 pcie lanes, but I've seen some mobo with 6 pcie lanes who are half the price... How would I know they'd work for 6 gpu ? Do they just need to have 6 lanes and that's it ?

- You really not going to know till u try one , or looking up forum threads about motherboards that support 6 gpu .
- if you are looking for a cheaper motherboard for mining there is one : ASRock H81 PRO BTC R2.0 LGA 1150 Intel H81

2- For the risers, is there any quality in Pcie risers or it's all the same thing ? I've heard about pcie with voltage regulator and some without? Also, any good website to buy some ?

- there is a quality difference in pcie risers , this is what im using for building rigs :
- from amazon : https://www.amazon.com/6-Pack-PCI-E-Powered-Adapter-Extension/dp/B01GU94QSQ/ref=pd_sim_147_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=3W5HSV76XB8EVKSMWDCV

3- When building a new rig of 6 cards, what kind of tweaking should I do to the OS/miner to give it better performance ? Should I upgrade to the most recent AMD drivers or there's a version more profitable ? Is there any tweak on the card or option I should remove from W10 to enable better performance ? Do you guys have any good resources or tutorial on how to optimize a miner rig?

Tweak for Win 10

AMD driver : stay under version number 16.12.1 , you can try any driver with the lower version number
why : with 16.12.1 you going to get lower hashrate , CODE 43 error if you have modded bios

5- I've heard about custom ROM/flash for GPU, is that going to end my warranty if I do such a thing and is it worth it ? I actually have 96 gpu RX470 4GB Reference. I'm a patient man, and I would like to try it on one card and see the result but I need a guide at least.

Its worth it , you can add extra hash rate, and lower the power draw .

6- Is there any ''auto-switching miner'' available on the market ? A miner that would switch automatically of currency depending of the profitability ? Is it a good thing ?

simple , easy to use , but not the best option :
https://minergate.com/downloads/gui
I prefer not to switch currency by the current profitability

7- I've also heard about updating the BIOS of the mobo for better performance, is it true ? Any tutorials or resource for the procedure?

the latest bios most of the times is better for your motherboard Smiley
To upgrade the BIOS, use either the GIGABYTE Q-Flash or @BIOS utility.
• Q-Flash allows the user to quickly and easily upgrade or back up BIOS without entering the operating system.
• @BIOS is a Windows-based utility that searches and downloads the latest version of BIOS from the Internet
and updates the BIOS.

8- On all my 4 new rigs that I've assembled this week, I have a problem: My 6 gpu are detected by the claymore software, but one of them is running at a hashrate of only 40 vs 195 for the other cards... Any idea where the problem come from ?

Try to switch around you pcie risers , unplug from slot 1 plug it to slot 3 , from slot 3 plug to slot 1 ... reboot you pc , wait till windows will assign the driver for your cards again dont start any miner till windows assigned the driver .
- are you sure your motherboard can handle 6 cards ? do you have a working rig with 6 cards installed on the same motherboard ?
