TBH I don't really see the point of these websites... I won't go on google and search for "Map of Stores Accepting Bitcoin" but rather I would search for something like this "buy groceries with Bitcoin in X city or country". I fail to see the use-case of these websites unless you just want to discover new stuff and there are far better ways of doing that...

Some of them are quite outdated though. I checked a few in my city and they either do not exist anymore (website is down) or there is no mention to BTC anywhere, while some stores I know are not in there.

I've found that with some you have to specifically ask to pay with Bitcoin. There was also a pizza place where it was only possible to top up an account in advance, and any purchases would be subtracted from the account's balance (but this one was more due to issues with accounting at the time).

If you guys happen to see some stores that are close to your locations, you can try it out and post some comments here about your experience.
I think it would be better to give others the idea of adding stores instead...

How to add:

  • Step 1: Right click on the map.
  • Step 2: Click "Add venue".

Are there anything wrong with given results from the site for Canada?
Yes and that's the case in general since a lot of store owners [they have to manually add it, it isn't an automated system] don't know about the existence of such websites/maps.

Some of them are quite outdated though. I checked a few in my city and they either do not exist anymore (website is down) or there is no mention to BTC anywhere, while some stores I know are not in there.
Indeed...
- Based on their activity on various social media sites, they're no longer maintaining it but other users can still contribute in terms of adding additional stores.

I don’t think they updated it soon because I think the same content existed more than two months ago.
For the most part, you're correct but you can check their new additions [automated] from "@coinmap_feed".

I have seen many similar services, but this site is distinguished by its beautiful interface, as the distribution on maps is clear and easy to see.
The disadvantage is that the database is not updated periodically, and since the most important thing is the content, I do not think that the site is excellent due to the weakness of the database update.

I don’t think they updated it soon because I think the same content existed more than two months ago.

I viewed the map here in our country because I'm curious about it to know the popularity but it is sad to know when I saw the result. It's different from what I have expected. Cheesy

Thank you for sharing this.

I really find it sad since people are expecting bitcoin to be mass adopted by the herd sooner or later. But then, the governments are already taking action to prevent the users to liquidate their assets from the cryptocurrency-space.

I have this paradigm where governments would possibly stop the crowd using the cryptocurrencies by enforcing them not to liquidate and mind their cryptocurrency assets anymore. Because for them, cryptocurrencies are a threat. And the revolution is never cheap.

I will be more than grateful for the cryptocurrency for letting me have a better economic paradigm. It taught me how to play with the market. But I think, the good days are meant to be over. And change will then come.

As for Canada, I don't see any result maybe because they are no available stores that accept bitcoin there or their stores, aren't connected to the map yet. That's only my opinion though, given that Canada is a Big Country, it is impossible that there aren't single stores that accept bitcoin in there.

Edit: this one has shown the result for Canada, you can see it for yourself, there are lots of them look.

Canada is a crypto-friendly nation so the results show up by the site is strange. There are very sparsely colored dots show by the site.
Thank you for the image.

I checked the site and the visual images from the site make me very surprising that there are so limited locations accepted bitcoin in Canada. There are but the number is limited.

Are there anything wrong with given results from the site for Canada?

As Bitcoin continues to earn some popularity in the whole wide world, more countries starting to support it. For more than 10 years, Bitcoin has dominated the Crypto Market with always being in the top 1 among the other cryptocurrencies when it comes to their prices. no wonder, people nowadays are getting their hand to know in which legal way they can get Bitcoin. Some people, adapt it to their business and begin to accept Bitcoin as a means of payment for their products and services. As of today, there are lots of Physical Stores that Accepting Bitcoin. approximately more or less, there are 16,024 venues of stores in the world today.

The thing is, I found some sites that let you locate where in the world they are. You can use this site as a tool like a google map, which you can see in the picture I provided. Most of those stores and services are in the capitals of some countries but there is some exemption. You can look for yourself if your city is among those cities that already have some stores accepting bitcoin.

Site of the map

They also have Two Dynamic Views to choose on which view you prefer to look for those stores.

I just wanted to say that I found out that my cities don't have some stores accepting bitcoin yet, but in the capital, there are few of those stores and services that are already running. If you guys happen to see some stores that are close to your locations, you can try it out and post some comments here about your experience.
