he's always saying stuff like this, especially when bitcoin is in a bear market. in december 2017 and june 2019 he was singing it praises.

he also views bitcoin and gold as fundamentally similar, which isn't the worst endorsement if you ask me.

he might also be spewing FUD while accumulating BTC on the sly. that's how the big boys do it. Wink

Mark Cuban has been accused of attempting to use his influence to turn the public off of Bitcoin. Some prominent cryptocurrency industry personalities believe that the billionaire investor has some vested interest in suppressing the price of the leading digital currency.

The accusations come off the back of a video in which Cuban argues that Bitcoin is nothing more than a collectible, like a baseball card or even fine art. Saying that the cryptocurrency has no intrinsic value, he adds that you can’t even enjoy it for its aesthetic qualities as you might a painting or trading card.

I know this feels for Bitcoin and crypto enthusiasts like me. Bitcoin nothing but a collectible? Really, Mark Cuban?

So Mark Cuban treating Bitcoin like any other collectible such as fine arts, baseball cards or so? I know that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but for me, this is completely an absurd type of opinion.

I was following Mark Cuban for a long while, but because of this statement, it feels like I'm gonna hit that "unfollow" button.

His statement about Bitcoin would describe him as a complete idiot. We don't care how much gazillions he has in his arsenal, but his statement alone angered cryptomaniacs like me.
