Since Jed was in Costa Rica originally, it might have a CR time.
It should "close" every day 23.59.59 at JST (Japan Standard Time), or 9 hours behind UTC. In reality the exchange is 24/7, at least for the automated trading. Withdraws are manually processed.
Sites like bitcoincharts.com will show a closing and opening price.

I a not sure exactly but I know it opens at midnight. The time zone is close to ine and I am GMT +8. I suspect it might be the same timezone as Japan where Mt Gox is allegedly located.
I think he wants to know when midnight happens on mtgox (it is at that time that it updates the "close" and "open" prices, with "close" being the last one, and "open" the first transaction after the "close").

Does anyone know at what time on the world clock does mtgox market open and close? Can't find any reference to it on their site. Does it even close at all?
