By spam I would list next:
-snip-

Who are you to decide what others deem valuable? Apparently there is a market for those items. And while we are talking about

-snip-
hacked or cracked. Allowed? Why? Some people paid full price for it and some skid selling it for almost nothing.
-snip-

Steam ToS[1] explicitly prohibits selling accounts. See 2G.

Quote
You are entitled to use the Software for your own personal use, but you are not entitled to: (i) sell, grant a security interest in or transfer reproductions of the Software to other parties in any way, nor to rent, lease or license the Software to others without the prior written consent of Valve...

The "some people paid full price for it and some skid selling it for almost nothing" argument is also true in your own case. The full price for your games is listed (by yourself) as 270$, but you also think that 0.1 BTC (~22 $ currently) is a pretty good price. I will not get into the most likely carded random steam games for almost nothing you also took an intrest in, but just ask you to reconsider your hypocrite point of view.

By spam I would list next:

#1 Bitcointalk account sale
#2 Facebook account sale
#3 Gaming cards and vouchers
#4 Netflix accounts
#5 Starbucks gift cards (I saw a few), as its not a food forum!

If Bitcointalk restrict sale of this kind of accounts I think it will be less LQ content in Market area.
Because of:

- Accounts are mostly generated with purpose of sale and nothing else. All of them are just pumped. No quality.
- Gaming cards are not legal to sale as it is 2nd hand sale and that is not allowed by OG card selled (iTunes for example).
- Netflix so cheap? It is obvious they are hacked or cracked. Allowed? Why? Some people paid full price for it and some skid selling it for almost nothing.
And at the end, Starbucks GCs. It is funny to sell those here. It is just funny.

I run a legit, valuable service for the Bitcoin community by making videos to promote and explain.
Our announcement thread, however, gets bumped from the front page in just a couple of hours, mainly because of super low content and vapor value offers for example :

- 10.000 likes on facebook for 0.001 BTC ( that will get your account suspended, but oh well )
- 1k followers on Twitter for 0.01 BTC ( fake accounts of course, that look fake to )
- Yet another lists of faucets where you can earn 1 dollar worth of bitcoin if you click it 500 times a day

and all those doxing services, organised by scammers that bump their own accounts with sock puppets asking " Do you accept Escrow ?"

A few weeks ago it was less of a problem then now.

Will mods delete this threads if they get reported ? Or can anyone just offer ANYTHING for sale, no matter the value ?
I do not like the people who sell garbage but when there are lots of guys who are selling something that you think it is garbage, it means that they have some customers

Who gets to decide what has value or is rubbish or not? If nobody is interested most people will lose interest in trying to sell the crap in the first place but in the meantime if it's not against the rules people will have to put up with it.

even their forum accounts which is definitely illegal
Surprisingly, this forum allows the buying and selling of accounts, there's no rule banning it.

Technically, the forum allows the selling of accounts for use in signature campaigns. If you use the account for a scam, that is against the forum rules.

It isn't. Accounts aren't allowed just to be sold solely for signature campaigns and buying an account and scamming from it shouldn't matter as staff don't handle scams so it's not against "the rules", though we obviously don't support it.

I really liked your post op. I think you are hitting bullseye with your claims. But I get the impression that you are angry just because your thread is not visible in the sea of others less valuable offers. From what I could see you have right to be angry but you can't do anything about it. Just accept it and bump your own thread. Bitcointalk is a huge forum and situations like that are to be expected after all. As long as people are not breaking any rules they are free to do whatever they like. Good luck.

I see where you are coming from. There are multiple "spam" threads that are selling Facebook friends, Facebook accounts, Facebook verified accounts, ect. I've seen the same things being sold from the same seller, and they need to be condensed down to one topic. Same goes with multiple domains. Domains aren't a problem I've seen too often but people aren't condensing their sales to one topic as they should. So far as the actual content, you can't really stop people from selling their junk.

There are so many who are selling Amazon accounts and even their forum accounts which is definitely illegal so how is that allowed in the Marketplace? Amazon card frauds and Starbucks are common in the Marketplace.

I don't know what are you selling but if your service is legit and unique, it will stand out on it's own in time, all the fake services die sooner or later, people who want to buy genuine stuff do make the effort of searching and browsing the next pages, they don't just shop from the first offer they see, that goes for SEO too. So just keep on doing what you're good at and it will get noticed.

Usually if they're not against the law and so on it's fine but if they're trying to resort to spamming other people constantly especially through PM you'll probably be able to get them banned.

Is topics being illegal the only reason not to want to have them on the forum ? People selling junk is OK ? I'd consider it a scam to sell something with ZERO value.

Is that what we want on this forum, to get actual services and products being drowned out by a flood of crap ?

Selling junk? Maybe the item might be junk to you, but to some other person, it's what they've been looking to buy. People can only bump their thread once in 24 hours, if other people are expressing interest and they are posting in the thread, nothing you can do about that. Anyways, best of luck with your business!

I dont think that all the Post in service section are Spam. People are providing there services which they can. If you dont want to buy you can stay away from these. I know these Facebook like page and twitter followers are just fake but some one needs these fake likes for his page and they can easily buy them from here at cheep rates.
I agree with uperhitech. If these post are just scam they will be deleted by mod.

Thanks

Those fake likes and followers are valuable if you are starting a page or twitter account. No one would follow if you have zero likes or zero followers compared if you already have 10k followers or 10k likes. Normal users would not know if it is real or not.

It's called a free market, no one is forcing you to buy this, the mods just stop them from spamming everywhere and that's it, anything more and you're simply trying to dictate what people can and can't sell on a whim.
