I think that's also possible as there are other NFTs that are being sold not only as an art.

Why you dont want to sell your apps in ordinary way?
Good question but I think OP wants to get into the craze of NFT because they're easily to be sold and there's not that much interaction. Unlike in NFT, you sell it just like you're actually buying and selling a token on exchanges but in a different marketplace.

Craze on NFTs may get him few millions of dollars interest of hundreds if he sold in that way, that is the reason for this. But I don't get what is the usecase of holding a software which is unique? There is no real use unless you sell it to the people from membership prices.

And maybe, it can be easily transmitted from a person to another
It also proves the ownership and could be a collectible for investor that could buy some apps to get some ROI
But its rarest thing to happen, even the vintage softwares are available for free of cost in the internet world so people who may not interested much on the softwares compared to art products.

How do you know if the software app can be used as NFT? I'm not sure that there is a platform that provides to sell software as NFT. Yeah, I think so far NFT just for art. If you're a software developer you can join Fivver to make any apps for buyer, the platform it seems like NFT's marketplace.
Fivver is more to sell dev services, it concerns existing apps in this case.

This is a kind of art, no? Smiley

NFT is a Non Fungible Token, which means that this token can only be used as a collection. If you are a software developer, you will not be able to make it an NFT unless what you are developing is an image.
Why does it need to be limited to images?

Why you dont want to sell your apps in ordinary way?
Yes of course I can do that, but it is less fun. And NFT have the advantage of leaving a trace in the blockchain

I'm not sure if NFT has advanced to that level. I thought about similar thing (not exactly software) few days ago but felt that with the current NFT model i have read about so far,  the unique NFT products could become expensive than they should, it could encourage the copyright/monopoly of useful ideas/products, it would encourage greed, etc.
However, I think there are people who would just want to have their ideas in form of NFT just to prove they own the idea but will let people to use them freely...wonder how that will work out.
What I'm looking for is not a way to protect the idea but a way a sell the intellectual property of the app (and the source code), IMO it is not so different from selling art

Hod did you know only for ART?

Did you see a few day's case on "Elon Musk" twitter, yes he wants to attempt to sell his NFTs song as an NFTs but he decides to not sold his NFTs. If we eeing this case and a few development about NFTs, IMO NFTs right now not only for an image, art and some virtual stuff but also from he case of Elon Musk we can take some conclusion song can be made into NFTs too.

I made a quick search and it seems mainly exist for art
NFT and its ecosystem will be a big test for the blockchain technology and altcoin market. They are on track and obviously look very promising. In positive movements, everything look good but a good project and good ecosystem will only be verified by unexpected things. How they pass through such events will be decisive.

After that, they will get a verification that they are good and big or just a small one that was overvalued by the market and investors.

Nah, There's a lot of NFT token that's not only for art, Actually the first NFT is a collectible game which you can breed different NFT and that game was cryptokitty ( Not really sure if its the first NFT). The point is, it is use already on various games such as breeding and racing like Zed NFT which is horse racing. NFT is not only for art but any physical things that you can convert digitally.
Ah, I forgot it. That's right, NFT isn't only for art. I know the NFT from DEGO coin to mine their coins. And now yeah NFT is used for game items, so far I only know that Axiee uses NFT as an item.

If you are into horse racing and a little bit of gambling. You can try https://zed.run/. You can breed and entry your horse in real race with a price money whenever your horse win. You can bet too if you are confident enough.

I find this game entertaining due to the things you can do on your NFT collection. Axie game is only for reach. Wink

Currently, I have not found a place to do such things. But you're talking about technology products, I'm trying to figure them out with the NFT and it's really hard to come up with a hostile idea. I think NFT products are of more value than use, so art auctions have become a hot topic in recent times.
