I used some flexible ducting to pipe the air from one room with less ventilation options to another room with clear access to an external vent.  I joined several of these ducts together, and was able to get good airflow by adding in a high CFM duct fan along the line.  You might run into some issues trying to force all of that air through a 4 inch opening though. 

yeah the four inch duct work may also whistle.

the link I gave for 12 inch duct is better solution for him.

Thanks for the responses guys. Gives me some food for thought. Currently I have x3 Avalons, but my plan is to upgrade my home power to 400amps and dedicate 300 amps to mining. 300 amps *  240v = 72,000 watts - 72,000 watts / 1200 watts (miner use) = 60 miners

So at some point I plan to house 60 miners in this location. Another thought I had is I have an industrial 1 HP water chiller from Chill King that is just sitting not being used. I also have roughly x10 6" Ice Boxes that I can combine to run sort of an evaporative cooling setup. I figured using this system would prevent me from having to poke large holes in the wall. I would partially bury a 55 gallon drum outside and use it as my reservoir, so I would have the earths geothermal cooling to aid the chiller. I'm sure once I finally reach 60 miners I will have to upgrade the chiller, but just a thought for now.

The Chill King / Ice Box setups are used to cool horticultural HID growing operations, so I figured if it can cool a 1,000 watt HID lighting systems, it should be able to cool down miners.

avalon6's would stack you need cut a hole in back of the  sub box in the photo

then put the  12 tube  this lowers sound a lot and allows you to move the heat 25 ft in the tube cost is under 100

better then cutting concrete.

I also think you can do 2 flexible  vents if you use a fan inside where they join .

actually a 12 inch fan on the hole in the box would really suck hot air and push it along the 12 inch vent tube.

1 fan 1 box 1 flex vent =  35+45+50 = 130 usd   + 50 more if you need a  second tube

 

 a 12 inch vent  is about 100 sq inches for air flow

avalon6's have a 120 mm fan which is only 15 sq inches for air flow  so  this setup would move the air of 4 avalon6's easy

As the title states, I'm hoping we have a few masons and construction folks on the forum that can give me some guidance.

My home was built in the mid-70s and it appears what are cinder blocks were used to form the exterior walls on the sides and rear of the house. The back side of my home is 3/4 of the way underground, but the front is completely above ground and acts as our main entrance. The ground slopes downward on the sides of the house toward the front of the home. I'm not sure what the name for these types of builds are called, but will take some pictures if needed to help visualize my setup.

The room that I will be dedicating to my mining farm, until it's large enough to be re-located to it's own facility, is in the location of these blocks. I was thinking about having a professional knock a hole large enough in the wall to to accommodate a 10" exhaust fan. My fear is if it isn't done correctly, that this could cause foundation issues. So I'm trying to figure out if this is a good idea and who the proper professional is to call to have the work done.

Another option would be to run hard ducting from the room to my laundry room (biggest is diameter would be 4") and either feed the hot air into my dryer vent, or have the small 10"x20" window in the laundry room removed and have an enclosure built that will be used as my exhaust exit.

So pro's...what do you think?

I think you picked a hard place for exhaust.   Going through bricks like seems like a lot of work if only a few miners.  How many miners are you planning on?   Do you have the electricity there?

It would have to have pretty much everything there for me to consider hiring someone to put a fan there for mining.   Do you have any other possible locations in house one that has a window or gable something already to exhaust out?
