Ultimately MasterCard uses blockchain technology for everyday use, quoted from private key. A good news for the world of cryptocurrency in general. Can you provide the link source of the article?

Here you go:

It seems that this news is just the hype around their patent filing. Expect anything from 3 to 5 years before anything happens on the ground. Maybe, even 10 years, because of all the extensive testing needed before they can deploy it live on production basis.

It doesn't matter if it's 1, 5 or 10yrs the point is that they're plan on doing it!
That's awesome. Blockchain tech is here to stay and sky is the limit.

Mastercard Files Patent for Blockchain System. According to the patent document, the encryption process encodes the cards information and stores it on the blockchain, after which two keys are issued, a public and a private key. This is good news

MASTERKARD company in retail outlets will cancel the physical use of "plastic". After the introduction of the technology in payment, the client will use only the pin code and the private key.

The card data for the payment behavior will be sent directly from the blockchain to the Seller's server.

The international payment system thus wants to solve the problem of stealing customer funds by skimming - reading personal data of a bank card when making payments. After the introduction of the technology, attackers will lose the ability to intercept information at the stage of its transfer by retailers over WiFi networks or using card readers-inserts in ATMs.
