This is exactly what I thought. I even thought it was the real Anton as I clicked this thread, but whatevs. I guess people gotta do what they gotta do to get exposure these days.

Oh Really?   Wink

You should read The Onion more often methinks.  And do be careful in this forum!

Another recommended classic for anyone interested:

"The Heretic's Guide to Global Finance"  by Brett Scott

How come there's an error on the cover; "finacial" instead of "financial"?
Don't they have proofreaders?

Look at the author name... fake.
Look at the username... fake.

To me, it looks like a hastily crafted .pdf piggybacking a known-name within the Bitcoin community.  The end goal?  Not sure - perhaps donations listed at the end?

Quote
Preface

Most of us are familiar with transparent decentralized public currencies and use them daily as our
preferred medium of exchange. While we might not understand all the details, we understand that the
money supplies are public and the protocols are documented and open source, regulated by public
oversight and cryptographic security. Here however we are concerned with another type of system:
corporate fiat currencies.
...

Sounds like a good read, I'll save it for later.

Great. Just downloaded it. Will take my time to slowly browse through all the 22 pages.

DO leave an upadate if you go through it. Might take out some time next week to read it.

Thanks for your comments!  I am very happy you enjoyed my work.  This is what motivates all authors.

I admire your paranoia on *.pdf files.  Please feel free to read the version on scribd.  If you are that paranoid you probably aren't browsing this forum on a machine holding unprotected coins.  The preprint is uploaded on vixra.org, a very nice scientific oriented preprint hoster wit a number of interesting coin and economics papers.

Fiat: if you must use it, master it, pwn it.

It always depresses me to see skilled hackers and social engineers going after tiny bitcoin stashes when with a tiny fraction of the work they could be getting massive loans issued to themselves and shell companies, carding like pros, and grabbing fiat by the truckloads.  You can still trade this stuff for coins people!

Maybe if this book does well I will come out with "Hacking Legacy Financial Systems for Dummies".

All the best --   Andro Antonopoulis

Remember that .pdf files can have embedded malware (really). Not sure exactly what/how much potential danger the format exposes, but keep it in mind

Please don't confuse me with the author of the hastily crafted "Mastering Bitcoin", by Andreas Antonopoulos published by O'Reilly.

This 22 page tome is called "Mastering Fiat" by Andro Antonopoulis published by O'Really.

Wow, I can't believe my editors at O'Really missed this in the first round.

I think the same. I don't think any author goes about giving out links to download books on the forum.
And I don't think its a free book either.
