I only allowed access to my phone's storage, but I refused to allow mate-global to make calls or obtain my location.

Did the app asked you these from the moment you opened it? 'cause an exchange app doesn't need these perms. Maybe the storage perm when you upload documents for KYC but it should only be asked when you are about to do tasks like that, not from the get go. Most importantly, you wouldn't really want any unknown/scam app to get those high-risk permissions.

One of the ways to know if an app is a spyware is if it asks permissions which aren't needed and it's the case for this one. I say uninstall the app op.

Lastly, a barrage of questions: is your phone rooted? and what OS? Did you notice anything unusual with your phone? are you getting more spam emails/sms more than usual?

mate-global(dot)com right?

1. Obscure exchange, no other internet trace and therefore faking volume
2. No public information available about their team and where are they based.
3. Registered on 2020-10-05 (whois) but says they've been in business for 2017
4. Only a year of registration for their website, hints on how serious they are.
5. Lies about being the first cryptocurrency p2p exchange. Number 1 wouldn't make sense if they are.
6. Grammatical errors like 'sing up' instead of sign up

Whole thing reeks of the classic cheap scam

I tried to browse the website but it seems like all of them are redirected to the app.

There's a high chance the app is malicious, could you tell us which permissions did you approve @op?

Are you talking about this https://www.mate-global.com/#/home?

I tried to browse the website but it seems like all of them are redirected to the app. Have you tried using their app btw? Honestly I think it's one of those shady exchanges looking at their UI and the first impression I got from them. Can't say for sure whether you can recover your asset or not, but I won't be that hopeful.

Hello.

My name is yoann, I started making crypto investments a few months ago on the mate global application, after exceeding a fairly large sum of Usdt my account was blocked and I cannot find out how to contact the application's customer service (mate-global) to find out the cause and how to recover my account.

Can anyone help me please?
