I don't think I have seen any talks about it here, so I thought I'd share given how popular Polygon is. So for those who don't know, and with the introduction of Polygon's latest product: The Agglayer, the MATIC token will undergo an upgrade.
In short, this is what it means for the holders out there:
- If you're holding on Polygon PoS -> You don't have to do anything.
- If you have your funds in zkEVM or Ethereum's ERC20 then you will need to upgrade.
For CEXes etc. You'll have to check with the exchange you're using for more information. You can also read more about the upgrade here[1] as well as what you need to do.
