Im buying new bitcointalk account, but i see some bitcoin address has been posted, can i remove/delete the old address ? because i can't accest old address for last owner
you can let it be. you can stake a new one . you have the signed message from old owner about account sale no?
yes i have it , but sometimes i get trouble, the old address linked to scamer, then my account get more negative trust,  i has tried to give signed message but people still not trust im the new owner.

THIS ^^ is actually the biggest problem with account sales, but as said before: removing all addresses posted by the account won't help you (because of the archives and quotes).
It is the reason why you should use a trusted escrow to look over any account you wish to buy, in order to keep the risk of this happening as small as humanly possible.

so better i use signed message like this :
Code:
today xx-xx-xxxx i sell this account to xxx and Use yyy Escrow service

so excrow can verif it too..? right

That would be a good message... make sure the seller signs is with a STAKED address, at least a couple months old.
That way, you can at least prove you own the account in case the seller ever tries to reclaim the account after he sold it to you.

Such a signed message is insufficient when proving the account actually changed hands, because there's always a possibility both the seller and the buyer are the same person, and they used an escrow service to make the sale look legit.

Ifthe account you bough has potential activities the deleting an old post will make you loose of that pot. activity. You can edit it anyway don't delete or best, you can stake your own address, if you are not trying to hide anything, there shouldn't be any reason for you to delete it. You can just ignore it and if people asks then tell them that your account was bought or something like that. Cheesy

im not interesting with 14 potential activity

Wait.If the account seller can't give you access to the private keys for whatever reasons, how can you make sure that he is the actual owner of the account and that he is not selling hacked/stolen account ?

EDIT : There is a possibility that the original owner maybe come back anytime and provide the signed message from the last address staked to claim the account back.

He can sign a message, signed with a staked address, stating that he has sold the account to "person X" or "to the person with address X".
Not everybody wants to give away their private key, especially if it's used on multiple forums, or for multiple deals, or is part of an spv wallet.

I think that since you are the new account owner, you have the rights to remove the addresses. However do note that removing addresses will not be good at all. Firstly, there is archive version of Bitcointalk. Secondly, people could have quoted the post containing addresses. This will invoke unnecessary comments when you are trying to sell the account later or asking for loan.

It would be better for you to leave them as it be.
