Hi all!

Maybe its a dumb question, but im wondering what will happen with all the "old" mining gear?
I mean, with an old 10gh/s miner you will generate ~ 0.3 btc per year => ~ $ 133,- atm - if power is for free... Tongue (cur. diff. and exchange!)
Adding powercosts you will lose ~ 40 bucks per year on $ 0.1 per kw/h on a 50W machine, running folding@home.

But in my oppinion it would be a nice boost to seti@home/folding@home/einstein@home/... if it is possible to modify/rewrite a program like "cgminer" to work for thouse projects.

So here is my question: are all the old bitcoin miners just doomed or is there a possibility to reanimate them as a folding@home number cruncher?
