Hello, I accidentally bought a honeypot token when I wanted to purchase Sentient Coin (SEN) on Uniswap. It's not a huge issue, but I would still like to sell the token. The trading history on Uniswap indicates that it's possible, but I don't understand how yet. The token appears in Metamask with a balance of 0, and the Uniswap wallet also doesn't recognize any balance, even though it exists according to etherscan.

If someone understands how to sell this token, an answer would be nice.
Basically, honeypot tokens do not allow buyers to sell the tokens, because usually the developers mostly commit crimes with the honeypot tokens for their own profit. Therefore, it is better for us to check the smart contract of the token to be purchased, in order to avoid honeypots. In the forum there is also a discussion on how to check honeypot tokens:

BlackBoss_ - Check honeypot scam tokens

For another reference, you also check on Gopluslab checker for any evm tokens, and even it also could check sui and solana on there :

Gopluslabs - Token Security

I have audited the smart contract of the Sentient Coin and found through [de.fi] that it contains five high-risk items, with the most significant being Liquidity Drain, where a large withdrawal from the liquidity pool was detected, along with Low Liquidity.

Also, the websites [Honeypot] and [Apespace] confirmed that this coin is indeed a honeypot. This means that people like you can purchase this fraudulent coin but will not be able to sell it or withdraw their funds afterward, as they will end up with worthless tokens once the scam developers drain all its liquidity. Unfortunately, no one can help you sell this coin. You need to learn from this lesson and avoid buying random tokens without doing your research.

Thank you.

I had clicked incorrectly; I definitely did not wanted to buy that. As seen on honeypot.is and on uniswap etc., some people have managed to sell the token. To understand how to do that, probably needs a bit deeper knowledge in the field.
