Since Mechanical Turk requires you to pay, I feel like it would cost more for that than the sig campaign could pay out.
I would doubt this, mturk often has very low paying "jobs" often only a few cents (sometimes only one penny). If you have a senior member then you can earn the Bitcoin equivalent of ~$0.25 per post in a pay per post campaign and at least double that in a fixed rate deal. You could easily make at least $0.20 per post if you successfully did this.

I did think about this a little bit when I started farming accounts but never tried it. One issue that you will have is that you will need to review responses prior to posting them and if you don't post quickly enough after receiving a submission you would need to review the thread to ensure the same thing has not previously been posted. These steps could easily take up as much time as it would otherwise take you to post yourself, especially considering that there is a good chance that you would need to reject a percentage of submissions.

If you are not careful enough about moderation of which submissions you accept then you would be risking your accounts get banned for insubstantial posts + paid signature.

It would also be possible that a moderator could make a good submission, you post it and then the fact that you are using mturk would be known and this fact would probably be frowned upon.

Why is the first thing people always try to do it so scam the system??? Why is this? Are we all that greedy and that evil?

There is a reason why sig campaign operators ask for meaningful and topic related posts. It s not only about marketing, its also about contributing to the community.

So cut that crap and do it the right way or do not do it at all.

I can think of so many things that could go wrong. You're giving out your password to a bunch of random people, whats to say that they don't a) change it, b) steal it and try to hack into all your accounts, c) change payout addresses for campaigns, d) spam the forum, e) get your account banned.

I really wouldn't like to try this.  Imagine the nonsense that would be posted in your name and the obvious security issues mentioned.  I think the signature campaigns are run with a bit of trust in the participants and their history on the forum.  It would be such a shame if people started using things like this.  It would reflect badly on the campaign and ultimately over time would be the cause of these types of campaigns ceasing to exist.

Good points. Perhaps the new forum software can incorporate multisig bitcointalk accounts.  Wink

should also add that if the person "working" knows about the forum, they could just steal the account. Then all this "i got my account stolen" drama would start

I doubt it.  It is unlikely that some random person who is willing to work for pennies an hour would have enough depth of knowledge to make on topic and constructive posts in this forum.

you had some inner feeling, then all posts here are somehow constructive? keep in mind that some campaign paying also for posting in Politics/Society section or Gambling/Lending. and for those section, you don't even need to know, what bitcoin is..

there are similar sites that organize tasks for people except they pat in bitcoin, I cant remember the sites but im sure a google search would find those.

It's sad to see how people think about the forum as an “economically feasible” activity. How despicable.

It wouldn't surprise me if someone is using it somehow.

it would surprise me more if someone wasnt already using this kind of service, especially across multiple accounts.

I've noticed how popular the signature campaigns are that pay people btc for every post they make on here. Many of the posts I see seem made just to collect this btc. I was wondering if anyone has tried automating the process using Amazon's Mechanical Turk service to make the posts for them? Would this be economically feasible?  Smiley
