HI,

I'm trying to mine Megacoin and downloaded the latest updated  version of the client.

I tried the older version but both also CANNOT sync to the network.

Anyone can help maybe to add extra ( addnodes ) IP address?

I try to do solo mining but the Megacoin client doesn't have mining button like Litecoin client. Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

I cannot post in the official thread, hence this is my last place to ask for help.

what is a good hash rate and difficulty for solo mining?
I have around 10KH/s but generally i find nothing when solo mining and while pooling, payments stops after initial period.

I don't think 10 KH/s is good enough for solo mining. A single 7950 puts out 600 KH/s and people have farms of it.

You just need a little luck and you can solo mine and come up with some blocks.

If I can get a couple blocks, I will be happy. Like I said originally, I just want to grab some of these in case they become worth something in the future.

Try solo mining

This is what I want to do, thus the reason I am asking for what to do to GPU mine Megacoin.

Hi, I think you need an ATI video card for cgminer to work.

I have a 5870, thats why I want to know what settings to use for Megacoin and CGminer.

I can only post here, so here is where I will post.

I know everyone will say what a POS all the new alt coins are, but I try to grab a few of them just in case one might actually take off.

On to megacoin. I downloaded the file from github and installed it. Started up and synced quickly. There is no pool that is working, that I can find.

My question is, how do I GPU mine this Megacoin with CGminer. What do I connect to? What settings? Is there a tutorial for another coin that would apply to this one?

Thank you in advance.
