Definitely not. If you return Melilla now, then tomorrow you will have to return Andalusia. The day after that you will have to cede Corsica and Sardinia. A few days later they will swarm Malta and Sicily. It will never stop.

Maybe Europe will have a Deus Vult moment again after this? Oh wait, the last one failed. Andalusia though, that might bring back what everyone never expected....  Grin

From what I understood, European countries are required to take care of immigrants once they step foot on their soil. And that's the problem with Melilla. These people know that and that's why they're storming it to get in. They know that once in, the Spanish government have no choice but to take them.

Guess it's the easiest route for the lazy, no need to cross the Mediterranean.

This is exactly why the Brexit occurred. The stupid European Union laws are ruining the member nations. Liberal nations such as Germany and Sweden are dictating the other members in policies such as immigration.

Sweden yes! And look what it got them. Rape capital of Europe within just a few months of the crisis. And still, they went them all in their countries, and also probably in their little cnuts.

I'm all in for economic agreements and easier travel between member countries but the members are still sovereign states and should still have the final say on who they allow to enter. Those who want to help can help but those who don't should be able to say no.

The ongoing trend of raising nationalism will continue until a solution is found for these massive waves of illegal immigration. Hopefully they'll find a way before more people turn towards nationalism and drastic measures are taken. I don't know yet how drastic but I'm not sure I want to find out.

What's the point, with exponential demographic growth, Melilla will be swarmed. Sooner or later... so what's the point of wasting money on a situation that can only get worse? Right now they still seem joyful and happy... but who knows.

Where is the italian presstitute, new friends for her (and maybe they are unicorns there...).
