Let imagine segwit get activated, and then LTC connects with LN
LN now LOCKS the majority of LTC in Place on the Blockchain , where it can not be moved.
Now the LN service offers their OFFCHAIN LTC for a slightly lower price than the ONCHAIN version the LTC miners sell.
So everyone then starts buying LN's offchain LTC and use it for all of their transactions and in the Process pay all of their fees to LN.
LN will be faster & cheaper than the ONCHAIN LTC.
So the question then becomes , Why use the ONCHAIN LTC at all, with no one using LTC onchain , the onchain prices drop to nothing and then get brought up by the bankers running LN, so now almost all LTC is Locked and the LN Bankers make all of the money and the LTC Miners all went Bankrupt, so LN now runs a few ASICs to keep the onchain network running , in the rare instance they need an onchain transaction.
They can do this because of all of the money they make from LN offchain transaction fees, and run the onchain LTC mining at a deficient so no one else can complete.
