What kind of satisfaction can you get from copy pasting a clone?

if there is a website for the mainstream audience, only the mainstream audience visits it
but if you make a website about for example eRepublik the memes would be about eRepublik, this can't be done on 9gag or memecenter, if someone makes a meme about eRepublik no one will see it because it won't get popular as the mainstream audience doesn't even know what eRep is..
this is why this should be done
