I've never found it, maybe it takes another popular person who is crazy about coin memes to be able to boost coin memes again like what happened to Doge coin in the past or there is something else crazy that can attract the attention of many people who are very controversial
Maybe it is just me, but that makes me stay away from it even further. Not because it won't be profitable, if someone like Elon keeps on promoting something, it may look quite profitable and I will miss on profits because I didn't joined. However, the main reason why I try to stay away from these type of things is mainly because I believe that the hype is temporary and the fall would be steep.

Look at Doge for example, it skyrocketed and it's true that the people who made profit from it made a lot, but the ones who lost money from it lost a lot as well. I always fear that I would not be at the side of the ones who profited but could end up being one of the people who lost a lot when the hype dies down. This is why I try to stay away from it.

A proper research costs lots of time. I have been working soley on technical analysis, and it seems to work up to now. Especially as the market is bullish.
An improper research will cost you money, and most investors have a lot of time on their hands and little money, so it is obvious which one of those options they need to pick if given the chance, besides since we are talking about meme coins on this thread, the thing is that checking if a meme coin is a scam could take a few minutes at most, so by doing this by a few hours per day you can disqualify hundreds of meme coins, and only invest in the few ones that you think may have a shoot at achieving some sort of success.

However, I can't help but feel like we need more meme mania in the crypto space! These meme-coins have proven they can captivate investors and enthusiasts. Imagine if more platforms and projects embraced memes, hosting contests and challenges for the ultimate meme maniacs. It could engage communities, spark creativity, and even discover the next big memecoin sensation.

So with this, I'd like to ask. Have you come across any meme contests lately?

What is a meme contest? I have never heard of this term before, we do see platforms holding trading contests from time to time, but I have never seen anything like this nor do I feel there is a need for it. Meme coins might be fun to be around but that fun is only for those who are earning profits from them, what about those who are losing money because of them?
We need to understand that not every meme coin investor manages to earn money because a lot of meme coins are not here to stay and only a few manage to gain enough hype and investments to have their prices go up and provide profits to their investors. Cry

Indeed, sometimes the price of meme coins rises higher than other altcoins, as can be seen from several meme coins that have occurred so far. Because every meme coin to become big must have a large community, a developed ecosystem, famous people who promote it so that it has lots of fans.
And meme coins are coins that I am not interested in because meme coins are cursed coins that will probably perform well in the future and make a profit. But on the other hand, your coins may not work properly and make you lose money. So, you have to be very careful in doing so and should always do thorough research first before owning one.

Some meme coins have been going up like crazy. I was stupid enough to get out of PEPE when I doubled. After that it went to the moon

Now I see PENG having potential to go x30 or more

Let's see what happens there...

Even though I have a bit of hate regarding meme coins because they have no use-case at all aside from being a community token, I can't remove the fact that they are here to stay, and will give profits as well as losses to investors. I've seen meme coins being created on different chains over the past few weeks. Most of them I saw on Twitter.

Meme coin contests? I didn't hear of that. What I only hear is meme coins being airdropped to investors. Well, meme coins will be the topics of some people online, and we've seen platforms embracing these meme coins as well especially those famous exchanges that are accepting different meme coins into their exchanges. TBH, I don't know what you mean by these "meme contests" because I didn't encounter any single contest that involves meme coins yet.

Well, if we are going to talk about facts and base it on them, even though many communities in the crypto industry say that meme coins are shit, there are still other memes that can still give profit to other investors who are lucky enough to earn or get rich because of meme coins, and many of us have seen and heard about them.

This means that even though those are shit coins, they still contribute to the crypto market in reality. That is why it is also undeniable that we admit or accept that there are indeed meme coins that can give lucky profits to anyone if they choose the right meme coins, although most of them are really shit coins and high-risk.

In the world of cryptocurrencies, the idea of meme coins has grown in popularity due to their active community involvement, humor, and impressive financial returns.
For me, meme coins will stay and some meme coins will have different purposes like scamming people, and will just make money off it.
We just need to be careful because what I can see in new meme coins or even old, it is high risk, high reward.
Investing in meme coins is just luck, we don't know which meme coins will rise significantly in the future, meme coins are really hype and don't seem to be going away in the crypto world, they will still be there. For investment, it's not all advice through individual research because it's difficult to see for the long term and even then it's just a few meme coins

That's true. You also need proper timing, when the hype is hot. What I do is I look out for coingecko or coin market cap and see trending memecoins. Alternatively I also pay attention to memezone on Bitget, then join their communities and see the level of hype and attention. That's how I've been able to get into memes like WIF, Myro, WEN and today PENG EARLY. NFA though..
For me, it's not easy to imagine seeing the potential in the future. Currently, maybe because Bitcoin is doing well, support for meme coins has increased significantly. Keep doing good research so you don't lose your money because of meme coins. actually there are many new coins with great potential in the upcoming bull season. WEN may have a long run

Meme-coins like Pepe, Shiba Inu (SHIB), Floki, and Dogecoin (DOGE) have been thriving in 2024, riding a wave of hype and community momentum. This meme-coin craze is fascinating and entertaining, capturing the spirit of crypto with meme-inspired branding and dedicated communities.

However, I can't help but feel like we need more meme mania in the crypto space! These meme-coins have proven they can captivate investors and enthusiasts. While most memecoins lack real use cases, they seem to thrive more than other crypto projects with genuine applications. I believe many are driven by the desire for profit, willing to take risks even with highly speculative investments like memecoins. Currently, I'm trying my luck by joining meme contests on X (twitter), hoping to win some memecoins.
no meme coins have real products or use cases in the market, so what those are crazy because people's investing to change their life, shiba inu and pepe can be big example, these two coins are the leading in the market. i am also trying some meme coin contests and luckily i won in some project but their tokens still not get listed.

Despite meme coins bad reputation their impact is undeniable. Many believe that fortunes can be made by investing in the right meme coin at the ideal time. Rampant speculation has left the market with a worthless copy of Dogecoin. One of the meme coins is Shiba Inu. The so called Dogecoin has shown itself to be more than just a satirical coin. Many are trying to understand Shiba Inu coin price prediction and future potential of the asset as it is attracting more and more investors.

Doge coins are successful now but in past it become a cause of failure for many investors. Therefore it is reality that we should not engage in those projects which are showing temporarily pump but goes to dip forever when situations changes.

I think every coin should be as strong as that of bitcoin which remains successful and never goes against the hopes of an individuals. Don't invest too much in meme coins that you become unable to invest in other profitable coin because in meme coins your chances of failure will be more than the chances of success.

We have already lots of meme coins so I think if someone is interested in meme coins investment then they should select present one because we don't know that new arising meme coins will be trustworthy or not and may be they are originating just for making us fool as all new coins are not advantageous.

Scarce makes the coins valuable so your thought of introducing more mem coins will definitely be a setback for the projects but its a free market and everyone has their right to launch what they want but investors are the ultimate one who decides which coins to be included in their portfolio for that the hype seems to be mandatory so when you see a project name that seems to be on your eyes everywhere then I would say it's worth taking that risk.

Some may refer the meme coins you have mentioned but I don't see any differentiation between NFT and memecoins from investment point of view because they don't hold any value for future I mean we can use these coins for short term investment but never for longer run because in order for any project to be successful it has to have some sort of product or solutions for the burnings issues or should help in real life only then the value will increase.

It's not an entertainment rather it's very serious for some people who consider crypto as a career more than just fun and entertainment. Meme coins have made some people very rich but on the other side they have made very big losses as well for some peeps. People have left crypto due to the meme coin flips and they have decided to not invest in crypto anymore.

The greed to gain maximum profits has devastated people's portfolios and it's a very burning issue that needs to be highlighted and cured as soon as possible. These trends should be studied properly and new traders should be given proper knowledge of how and what to invest in meme coins.

So far I haven't found any contests with meme coins. Honestly I don't like meme coins because they have no fundamentals and just ride on hype from the community. But now several meme coins have started to develop more use cases. Shiba, Doge, Pepe and Bonk have started making several developments to make their coins more useful. Maybe in the future they will create a meme coin contest. But I personally don't like meme coins because of the extremely high volatility and price pumping from the community. This is my personal opinion.

Of course, unlike NFTs meme coins have some potential but obviously, you also need some proper knowledge whenever you want to invest in it because most of them are pump-and-dump coins that are only created when the hype is ongoing and they will gonna dump after they finally get the others invested in their projects. But suppose you are a risk taker who won't have any problem when it comes to losing the money you are willing to invest and knows all the situation especially when to pull back your investment. In that case, you will gonna easily get a decent amount of income while you are minimizing the risk of getting scammed. It's a matter of knowing when to buy and when to sell it when it comes to investing in this kind of coin.

It's the opposite for me that we need to have the actual thing in the market the typical way wherein most projects are seen to be just like the excess in the market. But with all of these meme coins mania, they can't be stopped and investors will always flock to them looking at the greater gains that they may have with them.

So with this, I'd like to ask. Have you come across any meme contests lately?

Shouldn’t be too hard to do what you just have mentioned as with memecoins they often have a community already hence the reason why they got established in the first place. I have seen different kinds of contests and challenges but not something that is related into memes specifically.

It would be interesting and I’m pretty sure would invite more investors in.

Hype is what gives Memes their value. People like hype and anything that promises them mouth watery benefits. That's what memes promise. Those who get in early at several zeros easily make unbelievable profits and that drives their greed to participate in the next meme project and also in the next, it goes on like that. In 2021, I invested around $50 in a memecoin that that gave me over $5k. It was like a dream. Sadly, greed didn't allow me take profit until it went down significantly. We're having a repeat of massive gain for alts this season like we had in 2018. Everyone should position and take advantage of that.

Its the purpose of memecoins they say, it's to make people engage and just bring more people into crypto with just a bit of knowledge about it or the market. Something fun to post on social media to get shares and likes.

SHIB went more than 200% in a week is such a massive increment in its price. Doge unnoticed since the beginning of this year but suddenly jumps to $0.18. The users who once regretted selling their doge will once gain regret it.

What we need to understand is that we need to keep investing in meme coins so we make profits with the market trend.
The price of Bitcoin keeps going bullish and it time for us to utilize the opportunity and invest in good meme coins that can give us the kind of profits that we are looking for. This is one of the best time for us to invest in. Crypto if we missed investing during the bear market.
We can make money in the market and all we have to do is to keep investing.

The rise of the meme narratives project is an indication of a possible market correction. From the last season we have seen before any major correction meme project started pumping and recently the same thing happened. There is a large community that supports meme projects due to their insane financial returns but they also admit that meme projects don't have any value and are often used to scam people. Most of the popular meme coin is using any influential person in their back to get community trust because investors don't want to invest in a meme project that is created by any random guy.

I understand having more fun with investment, hell it started like that for bitcoin as well so I totally understand it. But, remember that there is nothing to take serious with meme projects, so when you are investing, do not invest all of your money into it. Even if you throw in a small amount, you can still have fun with it, there is no need to put 100% of your portfolio into them.

I respect the decision to just make fun of the markets by investing into something silly, that is a good decision and I have my respects towards that decision, but if you end up risking way too much, then I think that would not be a smart decision at all, it would actually be a quite bad decision in the end. So, protect yourself from "too much" fun.

I think what happend today about memecoin trend is just FOMO from whale that make somethink seen so fantastic. I see so many meme project make event on twitter and share their gift. And every one race for that gift and share chance of winning. May be I interested to join to their project and get some reward. But I will think again to invest on meme. Because it’s so much risk to hold memecoin. I think memecoin not have strong base for stand. I have interested when every one said Doge will go to hight couse Musk tweet, but than I lose some money on hold it. And that make me stay away from memes.

In addition to the cryptos you mentioned, the list I'm interested in is only $DOGE, $MEME

With memecoin, accepting the loss of money rather than thinking about quick profit opportunities (that's the strategy I apply), usually I will lock in capital and save the profits and watch their play. Even though I know that Ponzi nature exists in this segment, I accept from the beginning the worst situation. The recent FOMO with memecoins, in my opinion, is just a form of attracting a wave of liquidity for whales and the result is Indeed, we have seen strong fluctuations in the past few hours.

We already have enough meme coins and if anything we have too many of them already, and even if more were created this does not mean anything, since more meme coins on the market will not bring more money to those projects, the investors that have the intent on taking their chances with those coins do not need to be convinced to do this, and more coins will in fact just become a hindrance, since now they have to do their due diligence on even more projects to find one they may like.

You are posting this thread after the craze is gone and there is major correction in last 24 hours in these meme coins. They are picking up again in last one hour but with so many fluctuations, it is very hard for a normal investor to make money. Whales who have much larger funds at their disposal can handle these fluctuations better and will go away with all the major chunk of profits.

It is the community that is again helping these meme coins to trend in the market. None of them have any real use case but they are hyped through good marketing and get investors who are looking for high returns in short period. I think they will continue to dominate this year bull run. I am expecting another surge of new memecoins before the year ends. Some of those would be created to scam investors and some of them will genuinely rule the market.
