Thanks. Was looking in the direction of driver configs, and didn't think much about utility settings.

Can report nice results as well, not only is the card running the cooler about 15% slower with memory at 375MHz, but my PSU seems to have slowed its fan down to "idle" as well.

So, I guess I can make a recommendation for memory underclocking for those that are unaware of it (as a small way of making this thread a litte less redundant... Smiley)

I got a 5870 a while ago, good price and seems to run well at 970. But... I don't seem to be able to get the memory clock lower than 900MHz. I'm pretty sure I've seen lower numbers, but I can't get the slider to not bounce back when I try to apply a lower value.

Am I missing something, or is there something in Gigabyte's design that gets in the way? (I have to admit to being new to Radeons in general, as I seem to have been in sync with nvidia's development schedule for the last decade or so... Smiley)
