Indeed, deleting the thread isn't necessary. Just updating on what happened and maybe updating the title to "solved" would be Okay. Mercatox is one of the small exchanges i have trusted and used before and upon seeing the thread i was shocked that they would just decide to lock up 1600 USD out of nowhere.

Basing on OP's experience, it surely shows that their support is sluggish and this thread could help remind potential customers who are planning to use the platform.

Actually it is ok so that user will be aware on Mercatox issues before. The title mention the word "potential" and there's nothing wrong about as long as he have something to backup his hypothesis. In his case, the withdrawal and deposit does not work that time.

He did already a closure  feedback about the exchange about the exchange already. I think locking this thread is more appropriate rather than deleting it.

you should remove this thread since your issue has been rectified to avoid creating bad business name for mercatox. i used them and i never have any problem with them deposit and withdrawal works fine. 

Glad that you posted here please update us on the development, I was about to deposit coins in my Mercatox wallet and I found this and this is just recent, I've trade a lot on Mercatox in the past and everything went smooth they are good until now and hopefully they are still good for more years and this happen because of the recent maintainance, this will will be resolve.

I think there is not enough evidence to say that Mercatox is a scam exchange, is just as good as the best exchange i know Yobit, no KYC and never been hacked.

   
They finally sent me a message this morning (sure I did contact the support) answering it's an "internal" matter and it will be okay very soon. My DGTX withdrawal was successful. Then I was able to see all my eth this afternoon. I have to say I tried my best to get their attention by spamming their email, junk comment on their FB etc. So it should be alright BUT I'm waiting for the eth I sent being used to complete the trade I did aim.

This was a very scary moment, they told everywhere the maintenance was successful, the others exchanges are usually faster to answer and seeing no sign of life from them and of your 1600 dollars for no apparent reason is so bad.

So thank you it shall be alright BUT I still wait for my trade to be completed because the large majority (12.5 eth) is still on the website, the withdrawal time will be the genuine moment of truth.

For me, Mercatox isn't really a scam. Furthermore if it's possible I'll remove my topic to not harm their business and to remove all the information about me. However, it's a mediocre exchange that give the priority to the quantity of cryptos over the quality of the service and that often put up a very doubtful behaviour. But sometimes this is your best choice to deal with alt great opportunities.

I'll finish saying I've lost 5% seeing the actual prices, indeed I was waiting for the perfect moment to buy, observing each new hour the prices for 1 month. As you know in crypto the timing is extremly important so this exchange really can prejudice your trades, in a worst case I could easily had lost 20% with the volatility (if eth went down and the crypto I want went up).

Not trying to shill Mercatox  or something like that. I have used mercatox without any problems in the past few weeks. Yesterday i saw an announcement on Telegram that they were to have maintenance as Coin_trader pointed out. It could be the reason your deposit and withdrawal haven't been processed yet.

Maybe you should try contacting their support before you start thinking that you were scammed

There is still no other complains besides you OP. They undergo maintenance yesterday based on there telegram announcement channel for no stated reason.


But they already finish same day.


So maybe that issue they face yesterday is the reason for the delay in deposits/withdrawal process. Take note that this is just my assumption.

It's better to post this concern on their ANN thread so that they will notice you or everyone will be aware on what's going on to avoid potential loss.

I am sorry for your loss, never send to an exchange what you are not happy to lose.

Why you sent ETH to Marcatox is clear now that the exchange has already indicated a scam even many threads on this forum that Marcator is a scamer exchange, 8.5 ETH is very large and you should choose a safer exchange.

Did you guys recently had issues on MERCATOX please ?!


Today I sent 8.5 ETH (1600 dollars) on my Mercatox account, impossible for me to find it, it's neither processing despite the fact it's been 5 hours I sent it and that the address is the good one. ETHERSCAN says the transactions are successful and completed. PLUS as I was afraid, I tried to withdrawal 50k DGTX and these are stuck for more than one hour now, it usually take 1min max. None answer from their side I start to be VEEERY ANGRY, the total cost about 3500 dollars and I have 4.2 other ETH on my wallet that I do not dare to move because of it. I'll soon get forced to take a legal proceeding.

So if you guys know anything that can help me, I would be very grateful.
