What websites should Merchants that accept BTC go to in order to get the word out ?

I would think that some of the easiest ways would be to 1) Get onto Bitcoin's official list of merchants that accept Bitcoin (if they're still paying attention enough to add merchants) and 2) Include a "Bitcoin Accepted Here" logo on their website so Bitcoin users know that this is a place where they can spend their Bitcoin.

This is not press; please move to another section.

Bitpay has a merchant directory.  It's free to sign up, so feel free to use my link & I'll guide you thru the process.

I see there are new websites for selling digital products, accepting BTC like sellfy and sellan.

And as the news were circulating, now PayPal is surveying about bitcoin, so don't worry, bitcoin will go wild soon.

The easiest thing to do is start by listing it on coinmap.org, but you can also post it to forums and news sites pretty easily.

Reddit is probably the easiest. If you are accepting bitcoin or litecoin make a post about it on the r/bitcoin or r/litecoin subreddits, and try to make the post interesting or funny and not just boring like "Animal Hospital Now Takes Bitcoin". Add some humor and say "Cats and Dogs Finally Stop Fighting: Animal Hopsital Accepts BTC". I will not come back here to help you with writing or using reddit, not that I am any good at it, I just don't have the time.

You can start a discussion on this website in the Bitcoin General section to talk about how your company is using bitcoin. You can then copy that post and go to the other bitcoin forums and post it there. Then take the best parts of your post and send them to a bitcoin news agency, like Coindesk, of which there are many that you can find easily by searching "bitcoin news". If one of the bitcoin news sites runs your story, then bigger sites like WSJ and BI might find it interesting and make a copycat article on their big news website. Also you can come back here and make another post in the Bitcoin Press section and do the same on the other bitcoin or crypto currency forums.

At the lowest level you could spam the trollbox on cryptsy or btc-e. It isn't pretty, but it gets people talking.

I hope this helps, but keep in mind this is just the tip of the iceberg. You can spam facebook, twitter, and even send out a Thunderclap announcement if you can find enough supporters. Google Thunderclap if you want to know more. I'm just an amateur kid who has never worked in advertising or PR, and surely you can find more and better methods to go about this than me.

Thanks! I didn't think of going to BTC meet ups. Great Idea. I'm in the Bay Area so there should be plenty of them.

As a form of advertising? I'm not sure about websites but you could attend local Bitcoin meetups to spread the word about your business..? maybe request Coinmap.org to put you on their raider? have an interview with one of the journalists at coindesk?

Those are just the few that I can think of from the top of my head, probably countless others.
