How do you verify that its actually the customer that has paid? Do you make them sign a message or what?

It doesn't matter who make the payment.

The address is generated to pay a specified merchant and amount. Once it is paid and confirmed, the merchant will ship and deliver the item.

This is how is it being done.

Not sure why you need to make a request on something that is being done this way.

I'm not a high volume merchant, so I don't know if this is a problem to you. Therefore, this is aimed at medium to high volume merchants. I'd like to know if you have many transactions throughout the day, do you generate a bitcoin address for each transaction? Would you prefer, if you could, to just have one address to receive payments to?
